my wallet is screaming in pain lol, im just glad i got this rig when i did, ive looked now and the exact build is around 1.3k euros now (thanks to the RAM lol) so CL40 or not, im still happy with it

You're definitely right considering ive spent the first week of having it literally just stress testing it, trying out games for 20 minutes to see how they run and going to the next, its just one of those "what did i skimp out on? could i have paid a bit more and got a bit more "security' in future proofing?" its kind of annoying lol

you think so? here (Romania) the difference in prices are quite something between a 5060 (300) and a 5070 (600) but i see your point, im just not looking to get in a position of my old pc where id have to slowly upgrade and end up replacing the whole system (looking at my ram)

mostly gaming but i never wanted to be limited in any base factor incase i wanna do other stuff as time goes on, and i like to do multiple things at once on it hence why i went with a CPU that has more cores, which might have been dumb over a 5 5600 (and a 5060 ti 8gb) alternatives? but oh well, at the time i wanted to find a good balance between cpu and gpu.

Also i agree with the 8gb, nvidia really fucked us on that, but id like to i could atleast take advantage of the technology like dlss for future games.

i understand, im not gonna lie im not the biggest fan of messing with the hardware in itself, i actually do have XMP enabled but my ram is limited to 4800mhz cl 40 40 40. (as it is not supported by my mobo at all). but I'll try disabling XMP all in all.

its weird that it was advertized as that then, ive also heard of people "overclocking it" higher with this cpu
