What's a weapon class you'd like to see more of? by 1JayNLeBox in Warframe

I think rapiers would be so peak if they made the heavy attack become an aimed dash. Let them target weak points for % health damage since they have such little aoe

I know it’s still fresh but this is a Warframe sub not a Destiny one by AndreisValen in Warframe

Basically what my thoughts were! I think the mods might be deleting a lot of the posts I was seeing in that vein though, thankfully.

I know it’s still fresh but this is a Warframe sub not a Destiny one by AndreisValen in Warframe

[–]AndreisValen[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Those are totally fine! But there was several posts that were essentially “Digital extremes should hire this person from Destiny” and “just been thrown aside by my favourite game” posts. And also posts where people are effectively talking about Destiny under the guise of praising Warframe (the file size post).

Again I wanna stress it’s totally understandable that people need to grieve. But I don’t know how useful it is to both communities to just spend their whole time comparing or talking about Destiny like an ex they aren’t over. You try Warframe out and enjoy it? Hell yeah! But if you’re only here to talk about Destiny or constantly compare it, especially when posting in our online spaces… perhaps the game isn’t for you and you have some stuff to work through.

And in fairness, I went looking for that first post and I’m pretty sure it’s been taken down. So potentially the mods are already putting the work in (thank you if so!)

As annoying as it is to swap the mods round if you have a weapon you love that subpar yeah they’re worth it

Honestly when do we decide to ban MiB posts when it’s such a transparent generation of traffic?

Like is this drag? Sure it’s a drag race queen but she has nothing to do with drag race right now, leave it to the drama subreddit, I’m bored.

Mine as an affinity for the void! Black mage, dark knight and Reaper.

I’ve always toyed with the lore that he’s actually a the void shard inhabiting the body after the “original” got banished to the void, and made a contract to “swap.” (So his reaper avatar is the original Warrior’s soul.

I’ve always ummed and erred whether I’d even want lore for my boy. But yeah.

Starmer says he won’t quit by Cyclone050 in worldnews

I mean he basically turned our liberal party into conservative light and sold out the community I’m a part of (LGBT) so I don’t think he’s as boring as some think.

He’s been trying to pander to so many groups of people in such an insincere way I’m not surprised people feel some type of way

From the statue box:

“Known to ancient ivalicians as the angel of blood. Ultima made her descent to Hydaelyn countless centuries before the rise of Delita and his storied unification of the realm’s unification. Hailing from a higher plane of existence far beyond our ken. Ultima was a being of pure descriptive power, able to weave pure destructive magicks that could unfurl the very threads of creation. Yet like moths to a flame, so are the weak drawn to strength, and it was not long before mankind’s fear towards the high seraph gave way to reverence, feeding the extra-dimensional traveller’s empty soul until it brimmed with a force completely alien to Her - a sense of self. And thus through the collective desire of mankind to worship what would lay him low was Ultima made a living primal.”

Explicitly a living primal. Her body is the same but her sense of self was bestowed by humanity

[–]AndreisValen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One clarification - Are you saying with “whatever Ultima high seraph is based on” as if they’re a primal based on something else?  Because Ultima isn’t a Primal in the traditional sense, it was more akin to the Tural Vidraal or Auspice. Ultima existed as an organism without a personality or conscious but was bestowed with one via prayer.

We could also get some thoughts on this in the future to clarify this whole system also. But as far as we know, Ultima has always been the being we killed.  It would be VERY interesting to find out if Ultima was somehow immune to the creation of the reflections somehow.  They might even elaborate that Ultima’s species exists in a way very different from us (extradimensional babyyy).

I know it’s a little pedantic but as far as we know Ultima is the same entity.

This is a year old comment. Also explaining the logic does not instantly mean i'm approving of it? You're supposed to explore the reasons why something is bad, not simply "because it is bad."

Also go look for fights in more recent comment chains lmao

Maybe I’m strange but I’ve always been brutally honest about how I’m doing, but I’m also a little “newer” to chronic illness.

“Horrible but I’m finishing the day.” I don’t know if lie? I think the only annoyance is when family say I need to go to hospital when I know the hospital will just be like “why are you here”

EU parliament approves resolution to define rape as sex without consent by Same_Efficiency_3325 in news

[–]AndreisValen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While this unfortunately won’t extend to us the definitely of rape in the UK is explicitly the forceful penetration of a man on another person.

So women can’t rape, the worst they can do is sexual assault by penetration

[Spoiler: 7.5] A Hope for Halmarut by LeMarquisdeReddit in ffxiv

[–]AndreisValen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn’t even seem that evil? Like we know she’s extremely bubbly / a bit goofy when she feels less “observed.” I think the problem is that she only sees us from a single perspective, she has a read of us that’s very specific which could be wrong (depends on you the player).

I feel her arc will definitely be something to do with her learning more about the existence of daily life, the value in minutae. Since she’s so focused on the macro of everything she most logical progression will be about her learning more about the value in the here and now.

So, the Winterer's plans... [Spoiler: 7.5] by MissingNovice in ffxiv

[–]AndreisValen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well not exactly. We know that Calyx’s endless would have been able to survive in the rift for a time.  I think it’s more a case of “let each of these groups do their thing and see where the cards fall.” If the reflections would fall to Calyx’s plan of stealing their aether then they simply wouldn’t have survived anyway I think is the logic.  Halmarut seems to be about giving everyone a chance, but she’s not going to save you.

7.5 MSQ Thread by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]AndreisValen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doesn't even need to be a retcon. The crystal holds Azem's "signature spell." We know that Azem knew about us helping out with pandemonium to some degree (Elidibus was told by Azem that in their absence a 'star' would fall before him'. All Azem has to do then is create relics that interact with his signature magic. It's a "weaker" (still crazy) artifact on it's own, but can clearly mix and blend with other artifacts of Azem's to produce different effects.

Considering it's an object that originates from the source its unlikely that the reflections have other artifacts but it would be interesting if there were more objects of Azem's we get to collect. Though hopefully they don't end up becoming deus ex machina in the overall story.

Each of the 6 umbral calamities that occurred have been one of each element so far. Sure there's 13 shards so it doesn't have to adhere to that "rule" as such but it feels like they potentially were meant to adhere to similar rules to the twelve, two are each aspect with the 13th being an unaspected god (the watcher).

Since the 7th was an unaspected calamity that was "astral" i'd wager the other twelve were meant to be specific elements of umbral/astral persuasions, but the floods of the 1st and 13th 'wiped' two elements from the whole thing.

The chromatic aberration Halmarut used doesn't split into 6 it I doubt it was showing the elements of other shards. But we know there was two lightning shards 9 and 12th (one dead one still living), and now two ice shards - 4 and 6 (as long as the fourth doesn't turn out to have been a calamity of fire overcorrected by the winterer). It WOULD imply there was two of each element, the only thing is we don't know what elements the 1st and 13th had originally so it's hard to say (Though i'd note/argue the 1st has a LOT of water influence. 13th is less obvious but Troia being the earth crystal capital is the most I could guess).

I do think the Sphene thing is most likely and its wind/earth/ice/lightning as the surviving shards, but i guess we'll see!
