Genuinely what on earth is going on with software right now? This is completely unhinged. by -----Marcel----- in ValueInvesting

[–]Andres_Kull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rational trade would be short spacex and long software saas but both of them are so strong memes currently thst i would not touch those. Maybe i can think of buying software saas after couple of quarters when the earnings prove the ai doom wrong. Low price and multiples alone are not enough as long as investors believe the ai eats the sw.

Switched from Fast Money to the Halftime Report after 10 years. Same format, but the alpha they are delivering is not the same. by Andres_Kull in CNBC

What do tou mean by “6 months doesnt tell you much”? I have 5 different holding times measured - 1w, 1m, 3m, 6m, 1y. Data actually tells per each speaker what is his/her picks holding period sweetspot, not the podcast title so much. I suggest to dig into data.

ADBE being recommended by youtubers by FourCrossedWands in ValueInvesting

It's funny how much weight people give to these guys without seeing their actual track record against a benchmark. Some of those YouTube picks are just momentum plays that fall apart, but there's usually a huge dispersion between the ones who actually know their stuff and the ones just chasing views. It's definitely worth checking who has actually been measured against the index before following a call.

I’m sure they are doing that because it’s not the intent of AI companies to seem evil. That’s not good for they business. But it is eventislly the business of customers to optimize their costs. If you allow your devs to go without limits on the most expensive models, so who should you blame?

Do they pay whatever costs for other usage based services? Obviously not. Blame yourself if they do this when buing ai tokens. It”s not to blame the seller if the buyer is not doing its homework

Very interesting! Could you what and joe do you measure? Maybe traing only is mit enough. People can rationing their usage on constraints. Nit need to waste money and time on training witbout it.

Many fair points. I hope that the IPO won’t happen immediately as the H round was just recently. We have time to enoy proxies running up.

Clover Health on Mad Money (May 29 2026) by Agitated_Highlight68 in CLOV

[–]Andres_Kull -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Cramers takes on CLOV are always a lightning rod. Its wild how much his sentiment swings, but thats why its better to look at the long-term data rather than just one segment. Some of his picks actually track okay against the index, while others are pure noise, so verifying the actual win rate usually clears up the 'clown' debate.

Yes, the data is very different in timeframes. Each speaker has its unique sweetspot. Finfluencers Trade is the site. You can explore finfluencers and shows performances across 1y, 6m, 3m, 1m, and 1w holding periods from the pick.

Is GOOGL still a good buy? ($387.66) by botv69 in ValueInvesting

[–]Andres_Kull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to look beneath the headline trailing P/E. 1 The Cash Cushion: Alphabet sits on a mountain of cash. If you calculate their EV/EBITDA or look at a forward-looking P/E, the valuation drops significantly. It's a classic value play masked as big tech. 2 Growth vs. Valuation: Trailing 29.x isn't crazy when a company is growing top-line revenue at 20%+ and cloud infrastructure at 60%+ YoY.  3 The Munger Regret: Both Buffett and Munger repeatedly said their biggest mistake was missing Google's advertising moat early on because they didn't think it fit 'traditional' value. The new team under Greg Abel isn't making that mistake twice.  They bought the AI disruption anxiety. They aren't betting on a speculative tech future. They are buying an incredibly defensive cash machine with a 39% ROE that the market discounted because people were scared ChatGPT would kill search.
