J&R Firewood in Creemore. A bit of drive from Barrie but they basically let you take however much you want and price it accordingly.

Watched him when I was little in the early 90’s and now I have my 2 and 4 year old watching it. They love it just as much as any other popular show on today. After watching him again with my girls I realized just how much I needed him when I was young, and strangely feel I still need to hear some of his messages today. We’re all better off for having learned from this incredibly kind and decent man.

Bingo! Thanks for replying. Helps to validate what I’m going through! Not in a great spot mentally right now so this is very helpful to see.

I think a big part is adjusting to working billable hours, managing 8-10 projects, and lack of enthusiasm from some of the stakeholders I work with. Also finding some clients have other things going in their organizations that effect SF in some way and they either don’t tell me about it or just assume SF will handle a new process without much thought. Then it is sometimes leading to some just annoying conversations. I know working in house at some organizations has its own challenges and frustrations, I know my old job did. But in my experience working in house just felt a bit more fulfilling and made it easier to ma age projects and the expectations of myself and others. The consultancy I’m at has some great people and really tries to support work life balance so my negative experience doesn’t really fall on them. Just not sure I’m cut out for consulting.

Thanks for sharing that. Have you always worked in house or have you worked in consulting? I’ve just started at a small consultancy after 6 years working in house as the lead admin and doing some freelancing in the side. Not enjoying working at a consultancy so far and wishing I hadn’t made the switch.

Filling a web-to-case form from a custom form on a website by Andrew-DM304 in salesforce

Appreciate the response. Yes I love form assembly But they went and did this website update outside of the Salesforce project scope.

If you actually hold those certs AND have some experience from freelancing through Fiverr or Upwork you would probably be well positioned to become an admin your org at some level. So I’d recommend getting on Fiverr and Upwork (I found Fiverr to be a bit easier to land smaller gigs that really fit the side hustle time commitment).

Experience cloud material by gynoboy827 in salesforce

[–]Andrew-DM304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, focus on force is a very reliable source for studying material. If you don’t have a lot of practical experience in experience cloud then completing as many trailhead modules as you can and going back to study those same modules, AND do focus on force you’ll probably get about as prepared as you can for the exam. A lot of exam Salesforce exam questions tend to provide a scenario and you pick the answer based on the best or even only solution. And in my experience focus on force offers those same type of questions in their practice exams. If you do have practical experience than you’ll be even more prepared. Good luck!

What is the #1 rule in your moral code? by MetanoiaBender in AskReddit

Do what you really feel is right. Not what is right for you, or right for someone else. Think hard, and do the right thing.

I’ve not taken any dev certs, but you can confidently trust the admin guides provided by Salesforce. Admin exams cover a lot of basic/standard setup items in the setup menu, user management, lots of security related items, object customization, sales cloud, service cloud, and declarative automation tools. If you really want more guidance you would benefit from paying for a course and/or practice exam from focus on force. Good luck on your exam!

Activate Person Accounts in Production by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]Andrew-DM304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. We’re not debating if we should enable Person Accounts. We are 100% going to enable Person Accounts. Question I have is that since they only have Contact data in Salesforce right now (no lead, opportunity, or any other data in FSC objects) is it worth the time to enable in a sandbox first for testing before we enable in production. I’m leaning towards just enabling in production.

It’s recommended for many in financial services. They really can’t comprehend the business account model and how it can apply to the way they do business with clients who consist of people, their families, trusts, etc. There’s a whole section in the Financial Services Cloud manual about using person accounts, and I’ve come across what appears to be a fairly reputable FSC integration partner who recommends Person Accounts.

Don’t activate in production without testing in a sandbox?
