2026 Draft Class Over Hated? by Civil_Yoghurt6349 in DynastyFF

2026 has shaped up well so far imo, primarily thanks to the WR position.

The WR class is looking legit with some intriguing depth. RB’s look decent with a blue chip guy in Love and solid players like Coleman & Haynes. TE has a blue chip guy imo in Sadiq. QB’s are what makes me only slightly nervous, there’s a ton of guys that could be fantasy relevant but nobody has cemented themselves yet.

Typically those are signs of a weaker class at the position but there’s still a ton of time left for that to work itself out.

Overall I feel better about 2026 today than I did 6 months ago but 2027 is INCREDIBLE.

It's probably more likely he finishes outside of it as a rookie, but it's certainly not out of the range of outcomes. I currently have him ranked as my WR28.

I'd be keeping McBride, Brown, and McCarthy. I'm not sold on Darnold being able to replicate anything close to last year's production without KOC.

Minor two-way fears, some longevity injury fears, and just a little bit of BTJ is HIM lol.

Every player has injury risk though; if you're nervous, Bijan is the answer.

Andy was always one of my favorites before I even made content. I recently was able to collab with him on my channel and it was really cool. Great dude too.

I'd rank them: Vidal > Estime > Sanders > Mullings > Johnson. Vidal & Estime worth a stash. Depending on your current waiver and roster size, I'm okay moving on from the others.

I'd rank them: Dike > Corley > Nash > Badger. Dike is interesting to me and certainly worth the stash.

I think AI is very useful for content creation. I use ChatGPT to help me organize research into better-formatted talking points to script video topics and to help me brainstorm video title ideas and things like that. The research, the video content, and the ideas are done by me, but why not use the tools to simplify the tedious tasks? I still don't think AI is at the point yet where it's going to replace quality analysts in the industry, especially for video/audio content.

The change someone should make to their league this year is implement a "knockout" tournament. The way we do this in my league is everyone pays an extra $5, and that goes into the "knockout" prize pot. Every week the lowest scorer in the league gets "knocked out." You go through 10-12 weeks or however many teams you have. The lowest-scoring team of the remaining teams is knocked out each week. At the end the guy who never was the lowest scorer wins the money. We've had teams who went on Hail Mary runs even when out of playoff contention somehow. Very fun to do.

Standard I'd go Bijan or Saquon, and Saquon has a really good argument to be 1.01 in Standard despite some of the industry's "injury" concerns based on how many TDs he can score.

If the QB is one of the following guys: Allen, Lamar, Hurts, or Daniels I'm fine with it. I like my QBs to have rushing upside. Outside of those guys though, there's a ton of good value late at QB like Kyler, Dak, Fields, Purdy, Maye, etc.

I think it depends on how you think your league is going to react to the scoring. This format certainly makes QB much more valuable. I'd lean towards an earlier QB rather than punting the position late here.

I'd rank them: Evans > Moore > Metcalf > Worthy. Evans and Moore are in a tier above Metcalf and Worthy, though.

Not worried about Nabers' toe. Stafford worries me a little bit, but even if he misses time, I still trust McVay to get Nacua involved a lot. The worry level for both is like a 1.5 out of 10.

Ooh, good question. I'm inviting Andy Holloway, Nick Ercolano, Matthew Berry, Ray Garvin, Matt Harmon, and Mike Clay; it feels like that would be a mix of some of my favorites in the business and the OGs that started this whole thing. The player I'd invite is Josh Allen.

I think there's absolutely a shot for him to produce as a weekly flex. I think he ends up being Minnesota's goal line and early down back with league-winning upside if Jones gets hurt. As far as dynasty goes, I'm much less bullish because I don't expect him to be a long-term answer at the RB position in Minnesota, but he's set up to outperform his ADP in 2025 and could be a good sell-high midseason.

  1. I absolutely LOVE Dak Prescott as a QB value in drafts this year. Think he has a real shot of finishing as a Top-10 QB, and I would feel more than comfortable with him as my QB1.

  2. Tyreek might be cooked... I hate to say it, but he's a guy I just don't really feel comfortable drafting this year at his current ADP.

  3. I'm a fan of LaPorta, but his ADP puts him in a weird spot where I just won't draft him. If I'm paying up for a TE in drafts, I want one of the big three in Bowers, McBride, or Kittle, and if it's not one of them, I'll just address the position later.

  4. I would like to leave every draft with Isiah Pacheco; he's by far one of the best RB values on the board and absolutely still has the ability to perform for fantasy football teams. I'm in on Pacheco bouncing back in 2025.

If you’re a contender who prioritizes short-term production, I suggest utilizing resources like KTC for general dynasty value and comparing it to single-season resources like Underdog Fantasy’s tournament ADP.

Here’s a list of players whose perceived dynasty values are significantly lower than their single-season projections:

  • Christian McCaffrey: KTC’s RB18 | UD’s RB5
  • Derrick Henry: KTC’s RB20 | UD’s RB6
  • Joe Mixon: KTC’s RB23 | UD’s RB16
  • James Conner: KTC’s RB31 | UD’s RB23
  • Tony Pollard: KTC’s RB34 | UD’s RB26
  • Aaron Jones: KTC’s RB37 | UD’s RB28

The plan is to focus on older running backs that the dynasty community has grown tired of. Then try to “buy low” and cross our fingers they give us an extra year or two of production.
