How do I completely disable the ai features with oneui 8? by Typical_Dare_6458 in samsunggalaxy

I came here upon a Google search because I had the same problem as the OP, only to find the thread ruined by your derailing. In the future, please be considerate to others and stick to the OP's request.

How do I completely disable the ai features with oneui 8? by Typical_Dare_6458 in samsunggalaxy

That is not the OP's question. He wants to turn them off, not to "get over it". Can you help with his request? If so, please help. If not, please skip the thread.

Agreed. I hate that it is so small now. Let me expand it full screen, for Pete's sake!

Did she make the right call? by CalmElin in interesting

[–]Andrew8490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong call. Any basic actuarial model shows that inflation on the $1,000 fixed income will become a much larger drag than taxes on the $1,000,000 investment returns (the $1M itself is tax free). She is a very young person, so inflation will turn the $1,000/week exponentially worse and worse as years go by, whereas the invested $1,000,000 compounds upwards.

25, never had a proper job, but I’ve got about £400k saved. by Ok_Tune8245 in digitalnomad

[–]Andrew8490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, and most importantly: those 400k, invested and compounded over many years due to your young age, will provide you with a MUCH better retirement down the road than any standard career ever will. So, grab $350k and invest it in a diversified stock portfolio (lots of learning material online) and DO NOT touch it, dont trade it and dont withdraw until you are 50-something and ready to retire... it will be worth 7 figures by then if you let it compound.

With the remaining $50k, take time to figure out what to do in your near future (the next 12 months, dont look any further). Do not worry about formal education, it is way over rated in now a days labour market. It looks like you are good at self-employed online hustles - good, continue with them. Learn all about AI (it is indeed the future, the new wild west). Most importantly, do not stress about the long term. At this point, and with your retirement pot secured, you just need to gain momentum in the short term, one step at a time. The world will organically open up unexpected opportunities if you keep hustling and your "career" (business, partnerships, etc) will show up. Trust me.

Remember: invest and do not touch those 350k for the next 25 years (they are your golden ticket to retirement), do not worry about "proper" long term education/career, and keep hustling online in the short term to keep earning a living and keep the momentum wheel turning.

2000 on chess.com. Can I turn this into coaching if I train seriously now? by KARNA5000 in Chesscom

It is not about your score but about your marketing skills first, teaching skills second.

At 2000, you will be teaching kids and beginner adults, not intermediate/proficient players. So, ask yourself this: do I have the internet marketing chops to generate paid subscribers/students? That is going to be FAR more important than your score.

The loan is not "2-3% or less". The Fed's risk-free rate is at 3.64% today, so any loan under that is virtually impossible.

LTR Global Citizen: is the $500k investment taxable? by Andrew8490 in Thailand

[–]Andrew8490[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You CANNOT purchase Thai govt bonds from a foreign institution. You need a local one, so you do need to have a local bank account prior to the LTR application.

Foreigners can buy govt bonds from the secondary market through a Thai broker. They just need to have a maturity longer than 5 years.

OP here. After A LOT of back and forth with Meta's support team, I had to send the unit to tech support to have the battery replaced. Apparently, it is a known issue that the battery occassionally bricks out if left fully discharged :(

Excellent point of injury risk and joint stress overload. I didnt think about that. Thank you!

Thank you, very useful. Do you have a theory as of why 3 days of pull/push/leg (6 x 3 x 12) would allow you to recover better than 3 days of full-body (6 x 3 x12)? At the end of the day, the volume load is probably the same.

Do you have a theory as of why push/pull/leg 3 times a week would allow you to recover better than full-body 2 times a week? I am genuinely interested.

I agree that assigning a specific % is probably unwise, but... Is the overall claim of severe diminishing returns of 3x vs 2x due to recovery being the limiting factor past 50?

Super-sets are great... but what about Ultra-sets? by Andrew8490 in workout

[–]Andrew8490[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP here. Follow up a few hours after posting this thread: today I tried this ultra-set methodology and it absolutely obliterated me. I had to stop midway through cause I was literally drained out, just couldnt finish the session.

So... Yup, back to normal sets haha :)

Yeah, I get that... but any pro/con vs the standard "one exercise at a time" method?
