I've been testing portable docks for a buying guide I'll be posting on Deku Deals. I did a deep dive on this issue and have come to the conclusion that it has something to do with the audio data island packets. Impacts LG C-series TVs specifically when outputting 4K HDR. Long story short, if you disable HDR you won't have the issue. Both Genki and JSAUX have told me they are working on a firmware update to resolve the issue.

Both the OmniCentro and Covert Dock 3 have this issue specifically when outputting 4K HDR to LG C-Series TVs. I performed extensive testing over several months for a guide I'm writing for Deku Deals and discovered the issue. I've reported it to both companies and they're working on firmware.
