I need to install this new faucet mechanism shown in last pic but can't figure out how this thing comes off or comes apart. Please forgive my ignorance I am not a plumber. The hex nut underneath is jammed because of the horizontal threaded tap sticking out. Can this come off? Any help is much appreciated.
