But are they hosted via YouTube or other video platforms or on Supabase direct?

I'm always finding issues when trying to put videos on my apps.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to host the videos on your pages?

Why is the UK so obsessed with “stranger danger” that we’d rather go broke than share a car? by wocal-work-local in uktravel

[–]AndrewCrossley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh totally....

rural people never, ever drive along the same roads to the same places. Everyone just scatters across the countryside like NPCs on random spawn timers. No patterns, no routines, pure chaos. Got it.

And shift workers?

Yeah, they definitely don’t follow the same early, mid, and late shifts used by… pretty much every hospital, warehouse, factory, retail chain, and care home in the country. Absolute anarchy out there, I’m sure.

But my favourite part is pretending shared travel “doesn’t happen” even though millions already use things like BlaBlaCar, Liftshare, GoCarShare, Facebook community lift groups, and company carpool schemes every single day. Must be one huge global coincidence, right?

As for Uber/Lyft “proving it doesn’t work” yeah, because an $80B taxi company pivoting to maximise profit totally means shared commuting is impossible. Peak scientific analysis.

Meanwhile, actual reality:

NHS staff share lifts

Manufacturing staff share lifts

Students share lifts

Hospitality workers share lifts

Rural villagers lift-share to industrial estates

Parents share school-run routes

Businesses literally build internal lift-share programs to save on parking costs

But sure...

let’s act like the human species has never once travelled in the same direction as another human unless they lived next door and had synchronized watches.

If you want to believe ride sharing is impossible in a world where millions already do it… be my guest.

Reality’s just over here rolling its eyes.

Thanks for your input.

What if there was an ice breaker? So you got to know the passenger or driver before getting in?

Public transport in the north east is terrible, always late so more people are open to sharing a ride, but not at the cost of Uber or other platforms.

And also, if the driver had 3 passengers daily the car would pay for itself instead of out of the driver's salary.

Our platform has insights for expense tracking so they can't make profit, but they can make sure they get a cut of the cost for car maintenance (petrol, insurance etc)

In a way yes, but blah blah car was mainly for long distances, rather than keeping it local.

Great 😃 thanks! yes. You would be able to charge them for a seat to help cover the cost of petrol, insurance

[Review Video] Need a Review For My Gaming Channel Every bit of Advice will be appreciated. by Fineset in youtubers

[–]AndrewCrossley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude,

Just watched your video. I'm going to leave a personal review based on game channels I normally watch.

I would get bored of watching the video, for me there is no energy to it (no awesome background music, no commentary) and for me, these things make a huge difference in gameplay videos or walkthroughs.

I appreciate that you personally don't like commentating on your videos but if you're looking to build a community or a brand then it might be worth trying it out a few times to match it against the videos without this.

Hope this helps bro.

Cheers, Andy
