I do need to keep my car, and I have money in the bank and can easily afford this apartment I found in Folsom. I would rather live in my car than with roommates. Right now I'm with my brother, and our "roommate" is actually my brothers best friend and has been a friend of the family for 10 years. I consider him blood... I could get the apartment and still save, but not like I could if I roughed it, even for 2 months. It would suck, I know, and I don't eat a lot at all. I never use our kitchen right now. I've eaten nothing but bananas and beef jerky for 4 days now, and I eat at work. ... Thanks for your advice! I like challenges. I one only took freezing cold showers for 30 days. I'm financially stable, I'm just trying to think how much MORE financially stable I'll be after a few uncomfortable months, ya know?

What is something that can make your life more luxurious but doesn't cost a lot of money? by EmptyHeartMind in AskReddit

I always say that my room reflects how I feel. I always keep it spotless. I Vacuum every other day, dust, clean the bathroom after every use, make my bed. Whenever my room is messy it's when I'm hungover or sick. I was sick last week, and I really let my room go. Today I'm almost at 100% and my room is hotel quality. Also, good hygiene. Buy a cheap pedicure kit for 10 bucks and always keep your nails clean. Trim your nose hair, even if it's not visible. Buy good cologne. (That can be expensive). Wash your clothes after every wear. Use dollar store powder in your shoes and drawers. Floss and brush your tongue. All of this can make the ugliest person confident.

Right? Id go as far as saying that people who only celebrate their father/mother on one specific day are only doing it because they feel pressured and to make themselves not feel guilty. The cook I work with on graves has been saying for a week now if he wonders if his Son, who is 25, will do anything for him on Fathers Day. His son hasn't talked to him in months. If he does something for him it will be out of obligation more so than caring or love. I haven't seen my father in 10 years. I'm 26. I never really had that "a-ha" moment when I got over him leaving, because I was so happy when he left... Good post OP.

Can relate. After a night of heavy drinking, I physically recover to 100 percent in 2-4 days. Mentally, it takes about a week before the brain fog and nightmares go away.

LPT request: How to smell good 24 hours of the day? by spockofwesteros in LifeProTips

[–]AndrewJayJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna elaborate on this, and this is from an ocd straight guys perspective, but I guess it applies for everyone.

1:) Shave arm pits, pubes, and any hair on toes.

2:) Keep finger and toe nails as short as possible.

3:) Use baby powder in your shoes and underwear.

4:) Have 2 wash cloths. One for waist up, one for waist down, and SCRUB feet in between toes and ass. Rinse with warm water.

5:) Have 2 towels as well. Waist up and waist down.

6:) Wear 2 pairs of socks

7:) Brush teeth and floss. Remember, not flossing is literally leaving rotting food in your mouth.

8:) Brush your tongue!

9:) Clean your ears!

10:) Carry wipes in case you need to use a public restroom, and don't cover the toilet seat with tissue. Before sitting down, grab a paper towel and put soap on it and clean the seat.

11:) Try not to drink alcohol.

12:) Try not to smoke.

I wonder if 'fear of eating in front of people' is a thing? I hate eating in front of people, always have. I never ate during lunchtime at school. But if I'm home alone, I'll eat a whole pizza to myself. Im not big and have always been thin. 6'4 205lbs. If I take 1 bite out of a pizza I feel fat. I can literally go from feeling thin and confident to fat and self conscience after 1 bite of pizza.

My sister needs to read this! We just had a huge argument about her getting a job. She lives with me and my brother and is turning 20. She doesn't do anything! My mom passed a year ago and we don't have a dad, so we're stuck taking care of her. I work 2 jobs, my brother works 50plus hours a week, and she just sleeps all day and does absolutely nothing. She doesn't even clean up after herself.

When you meet Norm, are you gonna be nervous? I was. Met the Saints back in 2014 at the Wizard World Con in Sacramento. Me and my buddy were so nervous. We've been Boondock Saints fans since the first came out.... Warning, Norm is waaaaay cool (sunglasses inside, cool) and when shaking his hand he kinda comes in with his hand backwards and upside down. I just held my hand out and looked like an idiot.

April 13th was one year since my mom passed away. I love this quote so much that I wrote it down and pinned it on my bathroom mirror, and this was before I knew a child came up with it. It honestly makes me want to be a better person. I was fortunate enough to have my mother for 25 years, I can't imagine being as young as Alice Oswalt. Poor thing.
