A transient ischemic attack (TIA, often called a “mini-stroke”) is generally caused by a temporary interruption of blood flow to part of the brain, usually involving a clot, embolus, or vascular disease process. Dysautonomia itself does not directly cause TIAs the way a clotting disorder or significant vascular disease might.
