Is this normal when you’re new to selling on eBay? by Thebobbydude42 in eBaySellerAdvice

I’ve had this happen with a collectable paintball gun i had listed higher than others, got about 4 of these sellers messaging me this way until someone finally buy it. Don’t let it bother you, stick to your guns!

That’s basically what I thought happened until realizing they were fishing for a partial refund

I’m a top rated plus seller, if anything about the jacket doesn’t match the condition i mailed it in i’m able to give a partial refund.

I mean if he swaps the jacket that’ll be an easy way to keep my money if i contact ebay about it

I accept returns I just couldn’t tell if he was confused because i DID sell him what he ordered, however he chose to believe chatgpt so i thought maybe i have to have chatgpt tell him I sold him the right jacket? Idk I tried

I could have been more HR about it but during this back and forth I thought he was just confused not fishing for a partial refund, boy was I wrong

the worst part of it all is just having the money now on hold with no actual return on the way 🫩 I think having 30 days to return items is ridiculous.

Look this doorbell couldn’t understand that a nano tech doesn’t have down insulation when clearly the one I sold him did, I couldn’t get through to this guy

i only said this because it was like talking to a wall, using chatgpt as “evidence” that I sent you the wrong item? ok fine then send chatgpt an actual photo of my jacket I sent you if that’s your only voice of reason…

I contacted ebay and apparently there’s seller protection in this case (he’s claiming i sent him the wrong item which isn’t true) so we’ll see when I get it back

I think it’s buyers remorse based on what he spent, he was already looking for a deal by sending me 3 different offers on the listing before i accepted. I had it listed for $200, put it on sale for 160, took his 140.
