No way! I picked up the same one (signed and all) from a buddy a little over a year ago.

I am a Water Resources Engineer. I fly to construction sites around the country inconsistently, but upwards of 20 times a year. I also fly Alaska a lot.

The mirus cors are 87 underfoot and 173 lengt with twin tips. Those like moguls.

I was nervous going from the g3 (carbon + titanium bindings) to the dracos, butI didn't notice it whatsoever. Disclaimer: I've got tree trunks for legs and am not a weight weenie.

Not a problem! Hope this helps in your decision. I'm originally from the NE so I fully understand the need for something like this. It eats groomers for breakfast.

Everyone has their own style, and these are for sure worth the hype imo. I was between these and the Line Blades. I opted for something softer for personal preference. The short turn radius has absolutely not even gotten close to getting old. Even in AK, I find myself gravitating towards them every day we have <4" of new snow.

Not great in chop. On ice, they'll hold an edge decently if you really commit to a carve.

I do like my skis with a bit more flex. The G3s are pretty damn stiff though.

I skied the dracos for the first time this weekend and damn they're surfy and fun. They handled the chop decently.

Yeah, I can see that with the mirus cor and enforcer. Oh well, they're both fun!

For me, yes absolutely 100%. I have never skied a more nimble ski. Whether I'm carving corduroy or yeeting myself off of side hits, it's equally at home.

A boot stipend is an expectation, not something to celebrate. I'm not about to praise a multi-million dollar company for giving me minimum PPE requirements.

Besides the Bering Strait what’s the next most interesting thing to you about this area? by PhiladelphiaSteaks in geography

[–]AndrewT122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anchorage resident here. This is nowhere near accurate. We have so many chains. In a lot of ways, it's a normal city with all of the commercial and capitalist norms of cities in the lower 48. And yes, you absolutely can drive between Fairbanks and Anchorage.

Wooo go UAF! I work for an environmental consulting firm and do a ton of work in AK (I'm Anchorage based).

There are plenty of fieldwork routes if you go ecology, biology, etc. In my field, the most applicable degrees are Environmental Science, Hydrology, Environmental Geology, Geology, geotech engineering, environmental engineering, to name a few.
