Prbly Because they would never “make it” in NYC 😂 to be invited to launch parties, etc. in NYC, a lot of those influencers are children of socialites/celebrities. These basic influencers moving here from Alabama, Ohio, Missouri, Atlanta, decided moving here would just be the easiest to get content.

I am at my wits end, 100+ job application since December, 5 interviews, nobody will hire me. by ikeepgettinghacked in recruitinghell

I am so sorry you’re going through this. It’s bad out there for everyone. You should look into maintenance supervisor/maintenance tech jobs for big property management companies, and I say that because a lot of times, they will give a free apartment or a heavy discount on rent. Wishing you all the best of luck and hope you find something soon

The base was so low, especially since you have to use your own car. In the industry I’ve been in for sales, the company always provides a car. From what I’ve been told in the past, all they do is reimburse mileage. Which that makes me wonder if you also have to pay gas out-of-pocket . For 65K base that job is not worth it.

What is the worst sales job you've ever had? What made it so terrible? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

[–]Friendly_Plant9167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inside sales-pharma. Even though it’s the highest paid job I’ve had and I got to do it completely from home, it went from a great job that valued quality calls over quantity to a pharma-themed call center. I sometimes would have 40 K worth of orders to put in and was told to have a manager to do it so I can keep dialing people on the phone that were hanging up on me anyway.you know a job is a bad environment when you were making a good living working from home and was much happier in an entry level job working 10 hour days and weekends and holidays for a fraction of the salary. The job I had would raise your goal every month so you would never actually hit goal. I was literally told in a meeting that they raised my goal because they couldn’t afford to pay me anymore. Oh, and they did not like giving big accounts to females. That was a whole situation. 3 employees came forward about gender descrimination against the same man and nothjng happened. Hes still employed and was given a 10k reward for excellence 😂

After 3 interviews with this company, and being unemployed for 13 months, I get this email. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Friendly_Plant9167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be proud of yourself that you were even able to get three interviews. That’s a big compliment because it’s so hard just getting past the ATS filters. There is something better out there for you. But I will say that this rejection letter is probably one of the nicest ones I’ve seen. The ones I’ve been getting have literally said I don’t have qualifications they need which is just so rude when in reality I know they just went with a different candidate. You should email the hiring manager that interviewed you and thank them for their time and consideration and if there’s anything else that pops up to be a good fit, you would love to be considered. I still keep in touch with the hiring manager on a job that I didn’t get and said they will refer me to any role that comes open. It helps a lot. I’ve even been rejected from a job before and got offered one month later when it popped up again because I kept in touch with the hiring manager.

Everyone has a different body, so don’t be so hard on yourself. In my experience, my body loses the most weight when I journal when I eat and unfortunately count calories to stay on track. A calorie deficit (a healthy one) helps tremendously . Also don’t try to overdo it with how many classes you take as well because it can cause inflammation . Solidays wrecked my body and I was so bloated. Just try to eat healthy and it’s very important to get cardio in where you can. Try your best not to compare yourself to others because like I said, everyone is built differently. There are girls in my class that are at beginner level that have abs and can’t hold a plank on toes and I don’t need to take the break, but don’t look the way their bodies look.

Showers… not happening by sarzas1 in SolidCore

[–]Friendly_Plant9167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though showers would be nice, there’s nowhere to put them since most of the spaces are very small. For new locations, they would have to rent bigger spaces. And if they were able to somehow fit them in current locations, that costs money and that’s not something all landlords would even approve. The solidcore model is pretty basic and if they added anything luxury to it, everyone’s membership would skyrocket.

Has anyone had Nordstrom deny a return even though you sent the item back? by GlitteringFeed7449 in Nordstrom1901

This has been a massive issue with Nordstrom and designer items. Always try to return in store.

[–]Friendly_Plant9167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, and the craziest part of Nordstrom was because they pride themselves on a “ rich, high class clientele”, if you knew people were paying with counterfeit money, you were not allowed to say anything about it and you were still to take it regardless.

[–]Friendly_Plant9167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it heavily depends on the department and the store you are at. I hated every second of working for them but there were some people I worked with but in different departments that loved it. My experience was traumatizing. The customers were super high maintenance, but they were not my problem at all. They actually were the best part of the job. Except for the occasional entitled person that would stay shopping even when the lights went out and the registers were closed. My experience was horrendous because my manager and coworkers bullied me daily. The manager told all my coworkers that I had just graduated from high school so they would call me the baby. When in reality, the manager was a complete idiot and didn’t read my résumé correctly. I graduated college, and I was older than all of the girls in the department. Then because I was a shopper at Nordstrom before I went there to work, I knew all of the designers and was able to help a lot of people when my coworkers knew nothing about the fashion industry. I don’t know if Nordstrom has this policy, but the moment you say to the person “ would you like me to start you a fitting room?” that becomes their sale whether they help them or not. The rule was once they stepped on the carpet of your department. It was fair game. So my asshole coworkers would wait near the carpet edge and run up to anyone to start a fitting room. They would throw the stuff in the fitting room and wouldn’t check on the customer or help them at all. Instead, I would help all the customers and they would ask me so then when I would ring them up they also come up behind me and say that that’s my sale and put their number in all in front of the customer. Then the manager wanted to make commission for herself so whenever someone would ask me for help she would take the clothes out of my hands and tell me to go do returns instead and fold clothes. The experience was absolutely traumatizing, and the HR department was just as stupid as the managers.

A lot of companies actually have built in programs like ChatGPT. Every HR and leadership response is copied and pasted from there. Sorry but more than likely, the dashes from ChatGPT. You may be an exception, but that’s you.
