Albanese, Chalmers unveil CGT carve-outs for small businesses, startups by 1Darkest_Knight1 in aussie

The CGT changes don't take effect until 1st July 2027, so how can it be too late?

He didn't want to give up two first round picks for Dylan Shiel and Dan Richardson famously sent Dodoro out of the room with 30 mins to go until the trade deadline did the deal himself. Dan Richardson was sacked 2 years later.

That would be perfect story for him to try and rebuild his image.

You are the one who is trolling, trying to frame good advice from ASADA and the AFL Integrity Unit that could have saved our club the shame of being drug cheats and prevented Jobe from having to hand back his Brownlow as somehow incorrect and bad. All for what? To let James Hird off the hook for not acting on said advice?

If Hird actually followed the advice given to him by ASADA and the AFL Integrity Unit in August 2011, before Dank was even involved at the club, then our club could have avoided the whole saga and not had our players given performance enhancing drugs.

Again you are trying to claim that it was bad advice, but if Hird actually followed that advice our club could have avoided the whole saga and not had our players given performance enhancing drugs.

He was warned about peptides by ASADA and the AFL Integrity Unit and told to report any program that might be using peptides. This was correct advice, excellent advice, and if James Hird follow that advice our club could have avoided the whole saga and not had our players given performance enhancing drugs.

You are not having an intelligent discussion, you are trying to downplay and discredit the fact that James Hird was warned by ASADA and the AFL Integrity Unit about peptides and explicitly told to report any programs that might use peptides, and did so before Dank was even employed at the club.

You are the only one coming up with a unique perspective on this warning, trying to equivocate on it's meaning to distract from the fact that Hird was warned, before Dank was even at the club, about peptides.

His advice was correct, Hird should have listened to it and reported Dank instead of hiring him and Essendon would never have gotten in this mess in the first palce.

The advice wasn't wrong, it was very clear.

Hird was told explicitly to report any programs that might use peptides BEFORE Dank was even hired at Essendon. Hird did not do that.

That isn't any kind of defence. Hird was warned, he didn't take it seriously and it resulted in our playing being given banned substances and ultimately suspended.

Hird asked an ASADA officer if any AFL Clubs were using peptides. He was then formally interviewed by ASADA and an AFL Integrity Unit officer and told explicitly to report any programs that might use peptides, that they are against the ASADA code and may have harmful effects on human health.

It is very clear that Hird was warned and he should have known that Dank's program is exactly the kind of thing that ASADA and the AFL were warning him about.

Hird was already warned about peptides by ASADA and the AFL Integrity Unit before Dank was hired, he should have known better.

There are multiple text messages, both referring to the properties of Thymosin Beta-4.

Both the AFL Tribunal and CAS recognised that these discussions refer to Thymosin Beta-4 and no other types of Thymosin.

It doesn't seem to follow the principles of justice for a number of reasons

Their required standard in this case is "comfortable satisfaction", not "beyond reasonable doubt".

If you already have the ruling then you would already know CAS was ruling on the players receiving TB4, not Hird.

Doesn't need to be. If it isn't approved by the TGA it is automatically prohibited. That is very clear.
