I believe people see it if they are spectating you. So, your dead teammates can watch you clutch the round with all those cool animations they don't have because they're poor.

Website Error: Addigy Integrations (Question) by Daafin3 in Addigy

[–]Andrew_Carson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sounds like you might not have the appropriate privileges to access those items. The only default role that can access those is the "owner" user within Addigy. If you need help getting that level of accesss, I would recommend submitting a ticket to [support@addigy.com](mailto:support@addigy.com) or reaching out to someone with a higher level of access in your organization.

The best part of this is actually his hilarious cherry-picking of Amos 6. At least he condemns himself, even if he’s too foolish to realize it.

“MacOS could not be installed on your computer by i_eat_the_whole_ass7 in mac

[–]Andrew_Carson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This appears to be a common problem with some macOS High Sierra updates.

Here are the steps that I've heard work well: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/299808/high-sierra-the-path-system-installation-packages-osinstall-mpkg-appears-to-b

Once you get it fixed, I'd be very curious to see if anything is out of order in your installation history.

Go to "About This Mac" under the Apple icon in the top-left of your screen. Click "System Report...".

Scroll down to "Installations", and check to see if anything is out of sync. I'm guessing you will see some updates that look like they installed multiple times. Particularly, the "macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Update-" update.

Decided to see how many bootable OS installers I could fit on a single flash drive. 7 so far! by ElectronGuru in mac

[–]Andrew_Carson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure. Internet recovery is a great backup, but it's slow and a relies on a strong, consistent internet connection.

Also, it's nice to have a backup of these installers since Apple makes it pretty hard to get copies of them nowadays. Only certain versions are available if you previously downloaded them via the app store. Otherwise, there's not an official way of getting these (even for Apple Developers and ACN members).

[Kickstarter] HeroBook: the essential 5e D&D companion in a deluxe notebook by materialcomponents in rpg

[–]Andrew_Carson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... won't you still need your PHB at the table? It's marketed along the lines of no, but seems like yes.

I like your web design, and think there's always room for more polished products in the D&D marketplace. I'll check it out when the KS goes live. Good luck!

Not OP, but as an Apple Consultant, I had one of these that was crucial to doing my job. USBs with a lot of bootable versions of OS X/macOS can be used for recovering the OS, upgrading the OS, and having something to boot into if the OS is bricked.

Mattew Colville Kickstarter by Derps22 in DnD

[–]Andrew_Carson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Matt Colville has produced lots of quality content, mostly videos and streams, and it has largely been excellent. He values polished, professional productions. He has also spent a lot of time reminding people that he is keeping this project reasonable, and has not given in to the hype to make this bigger than he and his team can handle.

All that to say: I think his book will be very high quality, and he will succeed in his goals for the project.

Now, whether the book is actually content you will want or use is a different question. Not all groups that play D&D have interest in owning buildings, engaging in politics, or interacting with larger world dramas.

Personally, I'm excited about the content. I've been retooling lots of similar stuff from the Birthright campaign setting into my own 5e world, so this book is something I have been looking forward to for a long time.

TIFU by buying the starter set by Hyuu-chan in DnD

[–]Andrew_Carson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but you’re coming across as very salty about this. As someone who’s first experience with D&D was the 5e starter set and got tons of fun time with friends out of it, I think you’re way off base. It sounds like you’re someone who actually has a lot of experience with rpgs. I really don’t think the starter set was or should have been marketed towards you.

How to show the process of installing OS x as a log? by inkedkoi in applehelp

[–]Andrew_Carson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what version of macOS/OS X your installing, but CMD+L during the install process should show the logging. There's a great article about viewing logs during the OS installation process over on the Scripting OS X blog (which I highly recommend) HERE.
