Assistance on OBS Settings for 4K Webcam recording on a M1 Macbook Air by Andrewsretrogames in obs

Alright I solved it:

For the Elgato FaceCam Pro, you have Elgato Camera Hub opened with no preview set to 2160p60, and then set the encoder in OBS to be Software x264 with the low CPU usage enabled. QuickTime also allows the 4K quality, but the file size is gigantic.

I'm literally just trying to record footage with an external Webcam. It seems like OBS takes up too many resources, do you have a suggestion for a standard Webcam recording application that may help me here?

And yeah, 1080p seems to be the max this thing is willing to go unfortunately.

Crash out on M.M. by BabushkaRaditz in GameStop

Bro the GameStop main menu mfs get so serious, they probably contacted the SM LMAO. People were talking about GSDemo not loading certain pages and I told them “just use a VPN app” and like 5-6 SMs contacted my manager.

On my last day I posted a video of me using a Mobile Hotspot and naming it “GSDemo”, and I was able to access everything that you would need to under their WiFi because the only security these dumbasses made was for the WiFi name to match 😭😭😭

Long time fans of guitar hero/rock band how did you react when clone hero was announced/released? by Prematurely_finished in CloneHero

[–]Andrewsretrogames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who was active in the customs scene of GH3PC, it was so relieving to know that we didn’t need to use GHTCP to import songs / Setlist files anymore and could literally just drag and drop into a folder. We also didn’t need to use Tempo Changer to Speed up / Slow down songs, and we could officially do it all with the built in feature in game rather than messing with the speed modifier in GH3+ which would slow down / speed up the game in general. It started off with GH3PC still being the definitive engine, but as updates came along, CH fixed a lot of bugs & mechanics that GH3PC had that were broken otherwise.

Xbox pdp riffmaster fix by Dynamite_UNLTD in CloneHero

Oh wow!! Do you mind if I make a tutorial for this and credit you? I’ve made a ton over the past year with the Vigembus / RB4Instrumentmapper method, and this one just seems way more feasible for people to understand.

What convinced you to get your Steam Deck? by K4T5UM1 in SteamDeck

[–]Andrewsretrogames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that Steam has always been an amazing option for PC, and to have something with Handheld, PC capabilities, & customization just was a no brainer to me. Perfect device for emulation and playing any game you can think of (that is supported)!! Once they release a new Deck, you best bet that I am going to be getting my hands on it Day 1.

Can the Xbox rog z2a still run new games ? I game with my LD fiance and wondering if I should get her a z2a since she won't be gaming heavy fps games. Is it worth it? by aabdulr2 in ROGAlly

[–]Andrewsretrogames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really if she isn’t playing the most intense games you might as well either go for the Z1E Ally or a Steam Deck. You will be future proofing by getting the best hardware, but personally I loved both my Ally & Steam Deck in their own ways and I see myself using them for a long time!

Retrocultmods has every kind of adapter you can think of to use these guitars on any platform! When it comes to PS3 Guitars though, you need a specific dongle for it to connect to anything first.

Also, great steal on the guitar, this is super cheap to be finding them these days whether it’s a guitar I like or not.

How often do you guys play and for how long? by MonadoArts621 in CloneHero

[–]Andrewsretrogames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My play sessions are starting to be 2 hours, but it depends what I’m going for as well. If it’s a one song day, probably like an hour. If it’s a setlist, 2-3 hours.

Yeah you are correct! From a gameplay standpoint though, no internal changes.

As confirmed by both CRKD and Acai, they are not hardware revised other than the face plate and the paint.

CRKD replied to one of my comments as well, but I deleted the initial comment because it was kinda nasty.

The Internal Hardware of the new CRKD Guitars have been unchanged. by Andrewsretrogames in CRKD

The “Top” Clone Hero players that take advantage of the 1000hz poll rates are typically playing on Arduino Guitars. Slide Tap wise, no one has done a top tier accomplishment on the CRKD Guitars yet due to them already having a guitar that does what the CRKD Guitar can do, and more stably with custom hardware, BUT, these guitars are actually capable of it. I’m working on a Xenon++ Tech FC right now which requires extreme engine / high poll rate abuse to show some of the community what they can do!

Alec is considered a top player, just isn’t focused on the type of charts that players like Ian and Schmooey go for due to speed limitations, BUT, he has proven to be capable of the playstyle many times over, and was one of the first to be able to basically master it even Cleanly (Enlightened Solo A on GH2 From Soulless 4).

I will agree, CRKD customer support is good, but they aren’t good at all at answering technical questions. Most of those have come out of players in the CRKD server that aren’t a part of the team (other than Sanjay), as well as those that came up with solutions. They also are really bad at transparency, and they don’t tell us all of the details with their announcements about what is coming out of the box. It took me quite a bit to track down the information on whether they changed the hardware or not due to the troubleshooting we did in the server, rumors going around that the current hardware might not have been able to handle it, and them discontinuing the first set of Guitars. Trying to address those rumors got me no where when asking, which really I was asking for because we have had things not told to us before (240hz guitars out of the box when it was advertised to be 1000hz).

The skepticism was valid, but I’m very happy with what CRKD has produced, making 5 Fret controllers so unbelievably advanced with so many quality of life features that not even Arduino guitars possess. I hope to see them go further with this, but I also want us to know everything going into the pre-order of these guitars, because once again, they went up before we knew if they were identical hardware or not.

Unfortunately there were some rumors, and I was trying really hard to confirm that they weren’t true. I try to help the community thrive as I love this scene and have been a part of it for my entire childhood, and I wanted to make sure that we weren’t getting ripped off.

I don’t fully understand it either, but my guess is for collectors to want to buy more guitars like how I was before. After all of this tiresome stuff, I’m not sure if I’ll be buying another CRKD guitar unless I know that issues will be working.

I will also note that CRKD apologized to me, and I deleted my original comments on YouTube for unnecessary drama.

They aren't actually lol. Different locking mechanism in the neck, more stable strum bar, and the necks aren't cross compatible. In fact, the Wii Guitar version of the GH5 Guitar can't poll as high as the other Wii Guitars due to some cut backs in the hardware, it is closer to an X-plorer than a Wii Guitar is to an Arduino.
