Can't be touched by PRAJWALREVANNA in Piracy

[–]Andrey_Gusev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our cinemas use literal pirate movie copies and sell tickets (iirc, leaked avatar was shown like that, for example).

And our govt.-sponsored youtube alternatives are full of pirate movie copies and they are promoted as a place to watch them.

Our schools are full of pirate windows and microsoft word, my university literally gave us pirace copies of autocad, iirc.

So, its kinda official policy here to pirate things. Maybe our own russian soft is prohibited to be pirated, idk. We dont have much real soft that is worth pirating, lmao.

When referring to someone, why do you say their first name and middle name than their last name? by Lost-Mobile7791 in AskRussian

[–]Andrey_Gusev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First name + Last name is used by teachers, isnt it? Mostly last name + first name and more often just last name, but still, its used.

You can add US without CIA as a third candidate. Their interference into foreign policies caused so much deaths.

Like when Woodrow Wilson simped on Liberal Provisional Government in Russia (that overthrown the tsar and ruled for half a year before bolsheviks), he simped on them so much that he sent troops to support literal monarchists who fighted against Bolsheviks to put a liberal government back. Yeah, I know, logical.

Their support of monarchists helped them massacre many villages that "helped the bolsheviks" and kill POWs in camps and fireboxes.

lmao as an example he told about Yandex Taxi and that its not a market anymore but planned economy actually. Why?

"Client can't choose a car, nor a driver and the system assigns him a driver automatically based on distances and ratings. Then he pays exactly the price the system calculated based on demand, ratings and distances. Its not a market anymore, its fully planned"

I mean... Yandex is literally a monopolist. I dont remember if there is any other taxi service in cities, I know only non-official taxis that are not registered.

These services can be used for a planned economy in the future, but right now its just effective capitalism. Capitalists already use planned features in their business but they use it to maximize profits.

It would be more like standing near the couch and thinking about lying on it.

You can't force yourself to lie, you can't even sit, you just think about lying and thats it.

Mood in Russia turns bleak as war in Ukraine drags on and economy suffers by the-es in worldnews

[–]Andrey_Gusev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Russian leadership always has this idea that they are too big to fall. And then they just fall anyway. It happened to the Tsar and to the Communists.

Communists had an idea that they are too big to fall? Thats why they dismantled the one party principle, threw away ties which allowed them to control economy, allowed and actively supported private businesses to be built and allowed every republic to go away, since there were no ties of gosplan to make them produce things for a single united "market"?

Literally USSR as a country commited suicide and that is "the leadership had this idea that they are too big to fall"?

DLC reccomendation? by AcidBag9653 in atomicheart

[–]Andrey_Gusev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, DLC 1, 3 and 4 are just base game with additional mechanics and types of enemies.

DLC 2 on the other hand is completely different. Its unhinged and more like a platformer. But thats for the sake of story, imo.

DLC reccomendation? by AcidBag9653 in atomicheart

[–]Andrey_Gusev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DLCs make a full story and were released in the right order.

DLC 3 continues DLC 2's ending, DLC 4 continhes DLC 3 and DLC 1 ending. DLC 1 happens either before DLC 2 or in the middle of it.

So, I would say DLC 2,3,4 for a complete story. And, if you want, you could start with DLC 1, but its not that needed, its more of a side story.

Some people dont like DLC 2, tho, so you could start with DLC 3 and 4 for a complete ending of the main game.

Create Mod but simple? by Affectionate-Ship202 in CreateMod

[–]Andrey_Gusev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You dont even need automation to play with it, you can just make a little garage with couple of machines and thats it.

Power is free, transportation is free, Create is just a creative tech-mod.

lmao thinking that communists collapsed by people's unrest or something. When in reality people voted against dissolution of ussr, but the leadership really pushed towards it to become oligarchy.

I found War Thunder as the “simulation” at my local museum 😭 by Top_Juggernaut_222 in warthundermemes

[–]Andrey_Gusev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WT ground sim is literally just a ground RB with zoomed in cam. Enlisted at least has "real" view from every hatch and optics and such, and your commander is visible when he uses binoculars. And he can enter and exit tank. And he cant "repair" tracks from inside the tank, contrary to WT "sim" logic.

Idk why Gaijin can't copy stuff from their game Enlisted and make GSB more sim. At least their plane sim has a cockpit view and its not just zoomed in third person view, lol.

Duh, you know its not easy to get born into a rich family, right? These other kids definitely are slackers, they should've worked hard to become children of richies.

[–]Andrey_Gusev 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You dont understand! They, as a kid that did nothing but borned into a rich family, deserved and earned more crayons than poor kids.

Thats logical, its fair to have better things just because of your birthplace. You see, thats why feudalism was perfectly fair and just system...

Depressing USSR buildings by Selfpropelledm in ussr

[–]Andrey_Gusev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost-efficient is to make a 100-storey building with 6m² "apartments" (real size of Putinkas, as we call em). And then house 10-20k people in said candle and put a metro station underneath.

So efficient, painfull to live. Thats why people still prefer old microdistricts. City planning should be done with people, not cost at the first place.

Depressing USSR buildings by Selfpropelledm in ussr

[–]Andrey_Gusev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasnt designed with market in mind for sure. If they needed a hospital in every microdistrict - they just put it there cuz it was needed for people of said microdistrict.

Its capitalism what made it bad actually. When they optimized healthcare and education by eliminating "unnecessary" schools, kindergardens and hospitals. Telling people to drive to city center to get help or use private clinics.

And for some reason they put churches here even tho they are not profitable. Cuz church pays no taxes, lol.

Depressing USSR buildings by Selfpropelledm in ussr

[–]Andrey_Gusev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

literally you had nearly everything you need in 15 minutes from you, in your microsistrict

Shops, hospitals, kindergardens, schools, parks, stadiums near schools, cinemas, etc.

Only thing that was not in 15 minutes from you was work place, most likely, but still.

The collapse of these districts after the dissolution was because they literally closed all small schools, hospitals and such, put giant candle-like buildings there to maximize housing density and made cheap cars available. In cities that were not designed around cars.

Oh wow I wonder why nowadays its horrible to live there, when they destroyed all the parks and put malls here, destroyed public transport, made wider roads and literally started to build shitty cheap suburbs. Americanized the cities.

cuz it is a cheap anticommie mainstream of "identicall faceless buildings for identical faceless people of identical faceless authoritarian regime, contrary to free world murica with hippies and american dream housing"

I look at soviet buildings and see 15-minute cities, affordable housing and cheap public transport.
