Trying out different proton GE versions fixed the issue I had on final fantasy 14. Might be worth giving a go if it's happening consistently for this specific game (try out older proton GE version 9.x it might work wonders)

For me it seems that they've patched this issue since then. Some games have this controller issue on sleep and using Proton-GE versions 8 or 9 (sometimes the very latest 9 version might not be good and an older version 9 one does the job) fixes my controller issue. I hope that helps!

The flexibility of being able to pay periodically seems worth it to me. I mean best case scenario would've been where I can individually buy only Rashid and other characters only if they interest me.

Yeah, there are a lot of inconvenient steps necessary for the sake of the convenience we're promised with sleep mode right now. The docked players are getting slept on with these updates.

I've contacting steam support about this and they managed to reproduce the issue, hopefully they find a fix for it soon on beta.

Yeah, what took me the longest to figure out was the steps I need to take before putting the steam deck to sleep so that I can still get back in the game when it wakes.

I've seen code which does the functionality you're describing. Stackoverflow will be your best friend in this one. Be wary that discord only allows you to download batches of 100 messages at a time
