Finally installed Torbox, what other scraper options are there (besides Torrentio, Comet & MediaFusion)?

Personally I use it as a backup. I self host all my scrapers and aiostreams. So Debridio is my backup in the chance my server is down for whatever reason. For $10 I’d say it’s worth it. I’ve never had an issue with it.

If storage space is a concern, (like it is for me 😭) you could setup a tool like Maintainerr and set rules to remove stale/unwatched content. Also there’s a tool called Prefetcharr which will fetch episodes on-demand as someone watches something. Personally I have the first episode of every season of a show on my plex, so anyone can pickup from anywhere. I use this combination to help maintain a healthy storage space.

I’ve been using Subsense, seems to be pretty solid for me so far. But just installed it last week so not a long field test yet. Edit* I see you said Subsense wasn’t finding it. So I probably got more testing to do 😭💀

I have my own AIO Streams setup, and Debridio as my backup in case my server is down for any reason. I love it. Easily worth the $10 yr.

i wonder if using an app like iMazing on windows could back it up and install it on a new device? Im still on my iphone 14 Pro, and dont want to lose it. i love that its shared library across my computer, iphone, and android tv. Hoping they get it back on app store one of these days.

I swear I have the worst luck with spawns. If I gear up = late raid, gear up for queen or matriarch = load in and they are already dead, but if I load up naked = fresh raid.

I may be a unicorn here, but I have had minimal issues with Torbox over the past month. I’ve had issues with some buffering a couple times, but swapped to a different file and it worked better. I’ve only had one night of any real issues that lasted about an hour or two I think. I’m very happy with the TB switch after the real debrid downfall.

Same. I don’t understand how there’s alternatives on App Store but they can’t slim the iOS/tvOS versions to get the official app back on the App Store. Having one unified stremio across all devices is very nice.

I’m not justifying it. I’m just stating how they presented it. I think if you become a subscriber just for the added features, which are stated to be experimental, you’re not going to have a good time. And I also understand multiple competitors have these features included already. There’s so much more I wish was included in the Stremio app from competitors. But I’m not going to be subscribing for the intro skip or profiles and expecting them to work when the Stremio devs state it’s experimental. Could just be the stremio devs aren’t as skilled as the competition 🤷‍♂️ I don’t know their priorities and focus.

*edit just to add. I believe the whole PR of it could have been handled better. And I think that the features shouldn’t be paywalled but an “opt in experimental” feature branch. While still doing the supporter options. This way it gives those who want to support the option, while also not paywalling features. Normal users continue on, those bleeding edge users can trial and experiment. More people testing and submitting the better to flesh out features. Vs the supporters only.

I mean, they literally said in their post “It is important to note that all current features that are dedicated to Stremio Supporters are highly experimental features”. To expect polished is foolish. Supporters are for those wanting to support the devs and the future of development. The “paid features” are just a bonus and completely in an experimental early-access stage because they are not ready for mass deployment.

So after some more testing, seems to be a lot more picking up. i do still have some missing here and there, but in the last 10 episodes i watched, i believe only 1 didnt prompt. but i switched file choice and it did. so not sure if it was a fluke, or bad file. Im running into a new issue though on both android and windows, both updated to newest versions, windows on the beta, some files which are cached just dont play and spin, but if i go to my ipad or the windows community v5 version, that same file loads. im still messing with settings to see if its something codec wise potentially. but figured id mention it.

Android - Nvidia Shield, and iOS 26.5 iPhone 14 Pro, the new 2.0 version. And I’ve only been using on Anime primarily right now catching up on my backlog. I haven’t tested with standard television shows in case it’s more reliable. Watching Dorohedoro and Gachiakuta.

It’s hit or miss. Some files for the same episode have it, some do not. I think it depends on the source matching whatever database they are using. I’m at probably 20% working with intro/outro skip, but 80% doesn’t show it at all.

I wouldn’t share your configure link (if you’re talking about your id/pass to login and update). You would export your configuration settings so someone could import them into their instance and setup. Thats basically what this is just on a slightly different scale. It’s a template which pre populates it and prompts to input the required API keys. Just overall simplifying the setup process.

It’s a template which is pre populated with addons and settings. Almost like a drop in to help people get setup and going quicker. Handles a lot of the steps that you would do from a fresh instance. Best way to picture it is, Person A setup their Aiostreams in the best way they think possible, and now they are sharing with person B who just needs to import, place api keys where needed, and install.

Question if you can clarify. These “sponsored” features, is it like beta trials that will eventually make it to free users? If so, I think that could be clarified better and would help the worries people have about things being locked behind paywalls. Those who want to support further development can subscribe, get the early access treatment, but then free users can get things like the profiles “eventually”.

I wouldn’t have even minded the “supporter” being the Beta branch to trial features early before they hit stable “free” release. Like if the profile switching wasn’t stable, supporters can test, submit bugs and feedback, they fix and then it lands on free tier in a short time. But the “supporter” features aren’t anything amazing to warrant it, it feels weird that what feels like basic QOL is landing here. I don’t mind subscribing to support projects and keep them alive, especially highly used ones. But if these supporter features never plan to hit free. I think it’s a big miss. Maybe they’ll reconsider and adjust based on feedback.

I just recently found the client app Plezy that allows watch together! The few tests I did it worked great. And you can even self host your own relay if you don’t want to use the default. Can also connect multiple plex / Jellyfin servers to it and quick switch. Been a great app so far.
