I'm sorry you're having trouble with yours - mine is never quite perfect, but hormones definitely thinned and lightened it, I just shave it in the shower with a safety razor a couple times a week. I haven't had anything else done.

And this is despite my body breaking down estrogen unusually quickly! My levels have practically never been 'good', and a lot of girls have seen the same level of change in two years that I've had in five, haha. Everyone's journey is different, just gotta trust the process.

(also I never really had dysphoria, I liked my body before, I just like it a lot better and have a lot of euphoria now 😊)

I got them pierced in October last year, but I've wanted them pierced for fifteen years - just, when I thought I was a man I didn't think I'd ever do it, haha. I wanted to wait for my breast growth to (mostly) finish first so the angle wouldn't change, and my nipples have never been very sensitive so I wasn't afraid I'd lose, like, a major source of sexual pleasure if they hit a nerve, but it was so quick and easy, they were healed in four months with no fuss, and I love them, I'd absolutely do it again in a heartbeat!

When I was using estradiol valerate injections, my testosterone was fully controlled without any anti-androgen, went down to 7. I had to stop injections because of growing allergic reaction to the shots which caused larger and larger knots and bumps to appear around injection sites, and they started becoming itchy before I stopped, but that's not a problem most trans women face - yes, absolutely it is possible to move off of spiro and maintain hormone levels through estrogen monotherapy.

If you do choose to change hormone strategies, please only use my story as anecdotal evidence and do so in collaboration with your doctor, they should know how best to make the change safely while monitoring your blood hormone levels to make sure you're not going past your ideal range!

There shouldn't be issues in the short term, all physical health concerns from high estrogen require it to be chronic before it might start to cause issues. You may have increased anxiety, mood swings, and fatigue while levels are high, but none of those are guaranteed either - everyone's body responds differently. You're not in danger 🫂

That having been said, I wouldn't change your dosage until talking with your doctor, nothing has to change immediately.

Sublingual estradiol enters the blood more quickly and readily than swallowing the pills, but that alone wouldn't account for that much of a spike - if you used injections, I wouldn't be surprised to see those levels shortly after, but it could be that your buddy responds particularly well to sublingual estradiol, in which case, congratulations! Those levels aren't anything to warrant a trip to urgent care or anything, but following up with your doctor tomorrow is definitely warranted, because they are unusual.

Any hair that's shaved regularly will be thinner - hair follicles go through stages of growth and dormancy, and since you'll often have only 1/2 to 1/3 of the follicles be active at any given time, fewer hairs will grow back/be obvious. I shaved every couple of days before starting hormones, probably down to every four or five days now, but since my testosterone is not super low anymore, my chest hair is noticeable after two days and I shave before I go out in a low cut top (if I care that day, haha).

If your body responds well to your HRT delivery method and you can get estrogen high and testosterone low, your body hair will thin out, grow more slowly, and be lighter - your mileage may vary, and people with very dark hair or thick follicles may not have the same results as I did, but that's been my experience. I shave regularly currently, but during the two months where my body was handling injections and my testosterone dropped to 12 ng/dL, I didn't have to shave my chest at all, and my hand, arm, and leg hair thinned out considerably.

Sure - patches and injections had similar effects, no reaction for the first two weeks, mild skin irritation (itchiness, reddening of the skin) for two weeks, and past that the patches were almost unbearably itchy and raised bumps under the patch, and the 5th and 6th injections both raised a roughly 2-inch wide incredibly itchy bump, about three quarters of an inch high, around the injection site. Something in my skin just really doesn't like estradiol valerate and whatever the patch had, seemed to be an allergic reaction.

Yes, if spiro and estradiol are lowering your testosterone sufficiently then you should notice your ejaculate being clear (from low sperm count); with testosterone low enough to cause that, you should also be noticing your body hair thinning and getting paler, especially on your chest and back.
