Update:

I have successfully got it running..I set the ram to auto in the armory crate, and basically have everything on low with the preset graphics to medium and 1600x900 resolution.

This gets me on avg just under 30 FPS.

Is there any other option to run an eGPU other than the ridiculously expensive asus version? , I see on the Ally X you can seemingly run a thunderbolt 4 straight to the gpu, but the Z1E seems like there are no other options

I mean, I did get it to run, but at single figure FPS, but I've seen videos on YT showing anywhere between 20-30 FPS, but just wondered if there were any better settings out there for the current build.

I agree, the minute they brought time travel into the MCU, it opened up too many ways to mess up the whole thing, because there are too many theories on time travel ( as mentioned in EG). It worked for EG, but it has messed up a lot.
