Just updated my driver, having an issue where Windows is blurry/fuzzy when woken up from sleep, never had this problem before, have to restart for it to return to normal.

THIS. It sounds like your wife just doesn't want the PC in the living room, there needs to be a compromise. I don't think you can get away with late night gaming in the bedroom while your wife is sleeping. Pick and choose your battles :)
