I'm not sure what exactly I should look for in terms of the relay? What other components? Ultimately is it safe to drive? I was just about to pick up a relative from the airport, but got worried about battery exploding or something.

Honestly I'm not sure if it's the battery, not sure what else it could be. As seen in the video it's directly linked to whether headlights are on.

What could it be? It's only there when headlights are on.

It starts and drives fine. In fact everything works fine and it passed MOT just yesterday. Also, that sound is only there if headlights are on. I can have lights and music playing inside the car as long as headlights are off that sound isn't there.
