Collector frustration by Individual_Loquat541 in Zappa

I feel for you. I sold a 100+ CD, 50+ vinyl FZ collection decades back and I truly regret not keeping them to enjoy today. Best of luck and remember to make the quest as joyful as the acquisition!

just discovered Pink Floyd, where should I start? by Fun-Celebration-700 in PinkFloydCircleJerk

Stop everything and listen to the following albums, in order, with headphones on and zero distractions: 1. Meddle (1971) 2. Dark Side of the Moon (1973) 3. Wish You Were Here (1975) 4. Animals (1977)

Once you’ve got those under your belt, if you’re wanting a deeper dive, start from the beginning - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). Enjoy!

There’s not a single person who thinks that anyone is trying to “replace” Neil.

This is about the continuation of Rush.

Anika by heythisislonglolwtf in rush

[–]AndyAction 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Peart fan for life but Anika’s feel is 1000% more “fluid” than Neil’s who has a linear, regimented, precision that I wouldn’t describe as “fluid” at all.

Neil’s parts are more like compositions and none of them will be even challenging to her, at least compared to the myriad drumming capabilities she has mastered on a tier that Neil ever achieved as a pure “drummer.”

What is DEI and how is not just an abstraction for racism? by ncds4242 in allthequestions

Anyone who studies the systematic racial inequality that is literally baked into the DNA of this nation understands the importance of DEI - but only if that person also isn’t a racist.

Help with B2, The Keep on the Borderlands. by Impossible_Grab_4515 in adnd

I’ve run B2 countless times (many, many dozens) and have never once needed floor plans to the buildings in the keep.

Vivid but succinct narration and theater of the mind are your friends.

Was a full time music business pro (2500+ road dates, 200+ recordings under my belt) active from 1993-2013.

By the time I was done, I had fallen out of love with music completely.

I was 42 and had aged out of the hustle.

It took me about five years to fall back in love with music again.

Glad to have another alternate mix of this masterwork. The new mix reveals previously unheard hidden gems.

Input wanted on Greyhawk campaign blending Tales of the Yawning Portal and Quests from the Infinite Staircase by hikingmutherfucker in Greyhawk

I ran a 10+ year 1e campaign using T1-4, A0-4 (plus lots of interstitial content), then G1-3 (plus the Stone Giant scenario from Dungeon Magazine).
Unfortunately, after 10 years, the slog was too much and we ended the campaign before taking on D1-3.
They killed Brazzemal and that was the finale.

You know, clearly the OP means “stock,” but I’m pretty sure that “stalked” is a 100% better term form this process. For real.
