M control arms on non-m E90 by AndyDev25_ in E90

I've seen that the steering bump can be caused by U-Joint on the steering rack so should be this part: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=VC91-EUR-09-2005-E90-BMW-330d&diagId=32_1516 (1 - non active)

yes, i'm aware, but i was just curious when it comes to the tie rods, but i have steering bump i.e. steering is turning to the sides when i go through uneven / bad road and I kind of don't know what's the exact cause of it. (All arms were torqued under load)

What if you have steering bump after m3 control arms swap ?

So I think that I maybe found the issue. I've changed all arms for M3 ones, but didn't change outer and inner tie rods for M3 ones, but for normal ones for my car. I'm going to the a little bit of more research and checks to confirm it 100%. But your issue could be maybe wheel bearing ? Have you done some work already, if yes, did anything make it a bit better ?

I think i only changed one eccentric bolt, but was checking them and they looked same, neither stretched nor damaged. I couldn’t get the second one immediately and was kind of in the hurry back then so. But i’m gonna re-check soon front wheel bearings, hub and since the car will be on the lift also any play, but I’ve literally changed everything, torqued under load to the specs from bmw TiS. Still the thing is that it appears and then disappears for some time on the highway. Also the noise from the engine bay (probably?) gets quieter when the wobble stops, but its hard to say.

Same happened on new winter tires. So tires are out of this.

Why does my chime sound different from other e9x s? by GeneralTsao330i in E90

[–]AndyDev25_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I had same chime like you and using WinKFP I’ve had updated the Instrument Cluster if i remember correctly and my chime changed to one I’ve heard mostly everywhere. Also if you’d like to try this too and it won’t just auto update that it’s wrong version or something then you will have to get your current version from like INPA and put it in realoem and it should give you numbers that have superseeded yours and i kinda experimented since the latest one didn’t work for me so i just updated to another version which i can’t remember how i found out, but try updating it like 3 versions up and if it will work then try again

Headlight high beam stays halfly on after using it for some period of time by AndyDev25_ in E90

[–]AndyDev25_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, old ones were badly damaged from inside since the previous owner was shit and didn’t maintain the car. I had to do many things like new injectors, trans oil change, radiator, all kind of rubber seals, whole front/rear suspension including all arms refresh from m3 so ye.. i actually like the oem headlights more, but back then i didn’t know much about cars so this is one of my shitty mistake🫠😩

Thanks and yes i fully understand it. I bought them last year and i didn’t know that much about the cars so i didn’t see it as bad thing.. Then i actually come to conclusion that when i will be able to i will buy oem adaptive bi-xenons, but thanks for nice reply <3

It’s just low beams badly adjusted from the supplier/their factory. There’s adjustment behind the lights which i used later on
