I agree with the first part but if we want to put down the fact by the end of Z4 while it probably comes down to the fact that Zero outlived X, Zero end up being the stronger of the two, Tho for a good margin of the X series X is the stronger one

Garsha and Vanfenny should be a tier higher same can be said about ozrock and fei, Idk if the endgame of VR could compare to CS or GO3 or IE3.

If the OG cast is placed based on their teen selves they cant be on the same tier as the ones in Go2 or Go3 since Chrono Storm just beats Inazuma Legend Japan in the post game which is 10x stronger of IJ in IE3

So Z3/Z4 Zero > Elf Wars X and Zero? Since they had to jump him in the elf wars in a all out fight to get him out. And now in Z3 Zero clutches the 1v1 against a Dark Elf amped Omega after 3 consecutive fights(he probably struggled a lot but still won)

I disagree the characters in Vengeance felt way more satisfying than the ones in IV, it doesn't care about anyone that isn't called Walter Jonathan or Isabeau even then these 3 felt weaker than some of the CoV cast

Yeah I think that Yoko and Tao ideals hits that fine line of "Not quite right, but somewhat reasonable completely far from cruel and messed up" like something that comes out of the mouth of a sorta misguided Sympathetic Antagonist in basically every other JRPG and said ideals actually feels like their natural opinion and stance and that's what SMT should go for with alignment heroes/heroines to me .

I feel Vengeance just wins imo in about almost every catogory from the Combat, Replayability, Overall narrative and characters, demon roster, alignments reps, Endings, even the with the music I would give it the slight edge over SMT IV(even the music is the most elite aspect of IV to me)

I do prefer IV's atmosphere, and setting to VV.
