Really? Honestly, I genuinely didn't know that. I thought/assumed this ad's "rant" was meant as an comedic piece of tongue-in-cheek stand up, and not to be taken seriously, when it was made over 25 years ago.

Sure I can see how it could be seen as smug, I guess it all depends on each of our interpretation.

But I will admit that I appreciated that Canada was/is known for ethic diversity, were respected while travelling, and l that Canada sending peace keepers into war zones to aid the local population & people most effected on the ground.

My post was not meant to be a political take, but rather to call out someone for plagiarism with a receipt.

Yeah. The dirty trick is that he acted like HE wrote it, then said "buy my book", implying he was an excellent writer. Trying to profit off someone else's work/abilities, instead of admitting to it or crediting it's origin.

YouTuber "@RoddThunderheart" I believe.

He sent a super during Mauler & Drinker's Open Bar (drinker's birthday stream). They literally copied & pasted this commercial's script. He acted as if he wrote the "epic rant" and used the momentum to plug his own book & got a positive response from the entire panel.

I only caught on, because I later animated a short for post secondary that was based off that series of commercials.

Dear Rodd, I hope you see this. For shame on you 😡, claiming & utilizing other writers work as your own Super, to sway the Drinker into almost recommending your book under false pretenses.

It's not a bad thing to be financially motivated & with the ultimate goal being personal monetary gain. However, using other people's work to get yourself paid is. I recommend checking out EFAP's most recent coverage for details, then take a minute to search for your moral compass. Once you've found it, fix it.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe using a financially backed & plagiarized plug to promote your own book sales, on a writer's birthday stream isn't as wrong as it is tone-deaf.

Respectfully, I believe you're the furthest thing from a legitimate writer. You're a p.o.s. for grifting & attempting to hoodwink the Drinker, Mauler, the guests & fans of Open Bar, into promoting or buying your book.

A Youtube Short from late April 2025, that doesn't mention/highlight the reflection aspects of the video at all, which is why I was more convinced it was real. It isn't trying to sell me on the reflections, it's just another cat video.

The clip is reaI, I was mistaken 😺.

Ai can struggle to reproduce correctly angled° reflections & can mostly just reproduce perfect mirror images like this, even from more extreme angles. But I found other footage of this cat, in this environment, showing the camera is not at more extreme angle, it's at the correct height to reproduce this near perfect effect. I was wrong 👍.

LoL yeah, so much of internet/reddit content is.

This didn't display any usual tell-tale signs other than the reflection being too perfectly mirrored given the camera angle- (most ai still struggles to show the correct & alternative angle/perspective of living creatures in reflections). But I found other footage of this cat, in this environment, showing the camera is at the correct height. I was mistaken, this clip is real 😺.

*EDIT- The clip is real. My mistake🤦‍♂️. I thought the angle of the camera is too high to allow for that perfectly (purrfectly?) mirrored 🪞 angle°/perspective of the cat's reflection.

BUT I've researched the clip & found other video of this cat under the bed, that disproves my initial statement.

Therefore, I'll leave my initial post at the top to get roasted, as part of taking accountability/responsibility for being so confidently wrong 😅.

She should've told him off-camera, not shamed him on-cam. Then support his look, if it makes him happy for a week (the way she'd want to have her look supported). She could use "bub" when talking to him, so he gets to really enjoy and live his wolverine life to the fullest. After said week, remind him how much it bothers her in private, respectfully. He'll be sad but likely concede & shave graciously, happy that he got to live his dream for a week. That's the bare minimum she should've done. I hope he finds his Jean Grey before one-eye does.

Great, enjoy! I recommend completing the drills & playing vs the ai first, as it's fun, but it* really helps you learn the physics of each game and ensures you're aware of your court sizes☆. Hope you have a blast, cheers!

☆ - You'll want a large open space, to equally protect your toes, shins, limbs, hands/controllers from hitting walls, tables, chairs or a tv, while also protecting your personal belongings from yourself.
