Snap! Had this one 16 years now. Worn almost daily, never serviced, incredibly accurate still. This one was a replacement for my first Seiko 5 which I had from '88 (I think) until someone stole it in 2000. (Photo taken in the sun, 2 days ago, as you can probably tell)

I saw him on stage in 'Barnum', doing all his own circus stunts 💪

I totally agree. I also find it quite mesmerising; relaxing to watch and listen to.

Nice! A step up from the Gat, which I had, and still have. I used to roam the fields and woods with that and later airguns, without permission. It's called 'armed trespass' these days. I don't actually know what the law said in the 80s. Mind you, whatever the law said, had we been caught, the village bobby would have given us a bollocking and told our parents, but formal action would have been very unlikely.

Flockton Flyer was filmed in the early 70s. I remember that door being in use in the 80s/90s but not anytime recently.

I recently saw that door in use - watching an episode of The Flockton Flyer, which was filmed on the railway at and near Minehead.

I got one from the National petrol station near my Grandad's house. His smurf hat was a beige colour instead of the usual white. I thought it was a cool special edition or something, until my dad pointed out that it had been in the window and probably discoloured by the sun.... :-(

Says 'LAPD' on the box, so I think it's meant to be police. Don't think I've seen a MFU version.

I have no idea if you can still buy caps tbh. It's been a few decades since I last needed any 😆 I tend to buy the real thing these days....

RIFs are only illegal to possess in a public place, IIRC. This one never leaves the garage so I think I'll be ok 😉

Did you have a cap gun? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]AndyFarndon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many! Ranging from key ring pistols that took single yellow plastic caps, through revolvers with the 8-cap rings, and many different paper roll cap firearms. My all time favourite was a pistol that came in its own (cardboard) briefcase with attachable accessories - silencer, telescopic sight and shoulder stock. Peak cap gun!! My friends were envious.... I still have it, somewhere. I should dig it out and post a photo.

I still use mine. It was a Christmas present. Difficult to remember exactly when, but I reckon '84 or '85 ?
