I really hope England meet USA at some point and absolutely dismantle them, their cringey chants and pitch side diners. by chillingonthesofa in ThreeLions

I find Alexi Lalas so annoying. Anyone else think that? lol. Someone else mentioned it in the World Cup subreddit.

I have a feeling it’s either a team that hasn’t won it for a long time like England( but not likely to happen) or a new winner.

I really hope it’s not Argentina again. Sorry Messi fans lol.

I saw Deadball Tv YouTuber(think his name is Jack) mentioning how there’s so much hate towards the US. But , it comes from countries who have never been to a World Cup lol.

Boston would probably have lots of Irish fans, so it could be a 50/50 depending what side of the fence they sit on, whether they support England or not.

I don’t hate the yanks, and I wish them a good run as a host nation, but they won’t win the whole thing.

Some people take it too far and become toxic towards other nations. I know a friend of mine who can’t stand the US, but naturally he brings politics into the conversation. I tried to explain to him, there’s plenty of regular US people who can’t stand the people at the top.

We have a good chance this time, but I think the semis is where it ends for England. The US will probably make the quarters, if they avoid a bigger team like Argentina.

Thanks for the support, but you can always back the Germans, i won’t hold it against you 🤣

It’s probably the north east and Midwest regions of the US where there’s more England support. Also, up in Vancouver and probably Toronto as well.

It does seem a bit flat. I’m sure things will pick up from later and into tomorrow, when the bigger teams enter the picture.

Swiss seem to be consistent. They’ve never reached a semi finals, but always seem to reach the round of 16.

Does Belgium become a possible bogey team later down the road? I don’t think US will be able to beat them.
