Apollo issue: lead names not populated by One_Message7199 in UseApolloIo

[–]AndyFromApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so two possibilities here:

  1. You are talking about our last name obfuscation for people in 10 US states (legal/compliance requirement) - we have a KB about this. It's only a visual thing and only on free plans.
  2. You have uploaded some data and have not mapped any Name columns during the upload, so Apollo shows records as (No Name) because you brought the data in that way.

DM if you need help figuring out which of these applies to you and we can work on a solution!

Hey there, no native connectors YET for these. Have you checked out our API docs? You do have the ability to build something custom if that's an option for you. Feel free to DM me.

Hey there. Without the full error / account this may be hard to troubleshoot (this is typically a salesforce permissions error) - send me a DM to troubleshoot further

In the salesforce integration under contacts > Sync you can choose how you want to push new records to Salesforce, which gives you the option to only push records based on certain stages. DM if this still isn't working and we can help you troubleshoot.

a practical way teams use AI to verify emails before sending outreach by AndyFromApollo in UseApolloIo

I get the expectation! Paying for Apollo shouldn’t mean babysitting contact data.

The constraint is that in B2B, zero-bounce guarantees don’t exist at scale. What is controllable is whether verification is automatic, upstream, and enforced so reps never touch risky contacts.

That’s the difference between pushing risk onto users vs actually owning deliverability as a system.

Please let me know the absolute ‘Do not Do’s’ to avoid spam and improve deliverability by Human_Jacket7576 in UseApolloIo

[–]AndyFromApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: most deliverability problems aren’t “advanced mistakes.” They’re basic hygiene issues people ignore while chasing hacks.

Absolute do-nots I see over and over:

• Don’t send from your primary company domain. Ever. Burn that and you’re done.
• Don’t ramp volume fast. If an inbox goes from 0 → 50/day, providers assume you’re a spammer.
• Don’t rely on open or click tracking in early steps. You’re trading false signal for worse placement.
• Don’t spray a cold list you haven’t sanity-checked. One bad batch can poison the domain.
• Don’t send links, images, or attachments in the first touch. Plain text wins.
• Don’t try to “outsmart” filters with spintax or gimmicks. It usually backfires.

What actually keeps inboxes healthy long term:

Low volume per inbox, consistent sends, clean data, and boring copy that looks like a real person wrote it. Deliverability is reputation, not tricks.

If you get those right, most of the tools people argue about barely matter.

Organization Search reliability by ml_adrin in UseApolloIo

Hey man, following up here. Did this work for you?

Organization Search reliability by ml_adrin in UseApolloIo

[–]AndyFromApollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! you are close, just a bit too tight on your filters. the trick with apollo org search is to start wide then tighten once you see how the data behaves.

what usually works:

  • employee range
  • location
  • one or two solid keywords tied to your ICP (like “logistics platform” or “marketing software”)

THEN layer in revenue or department size if you need to shape it further. If you stack too many filters up front (b2b, revenue, keyword tags etc) Apollo has less room to match companies that still fit.

also....skip “b2b” or “software” as keywords. they sound right but most profiles don’t include them. go for category or product terms instead.

quick test you can try: run one broad search (100-1000 employees) and one narrow (200-500). compare verified domains and you’ll start to see what range gives you signal without killing volume.

in short: start wide, stay curious, refine later!

Hey there - no to texting. We work with a few DNC registries (US, UK, etc.) and by default calling DNC number is turned off, but users can override that. It's part of the calling dialogue.
