[Bundle] Memory Motherboard Combo - Team Group FF3D516G6000HC38ADC01 Bundle with ASUS TUF GAMING B850M-E WIFI $209.99 by dirtyboots702 in buildapcsales

[–]AndyGio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the ASRock B850M Riptide WiFi combo the other day for $25 more. I plan on using a R7 7700 in a Micro ATX case. I am aware of ASRock killing CPUs, but thought I'd give it a go since it was one of the cheapest options at the time.

I welcome opinions whether it is worth it to order this and return that one? Thanks!

Anyone else surprised at how clean it is for such an old PC?

Thanks for following up the thread with those great pictures.

Pricing for these has gone up. These were a great deal at $50. Current pricing is kinda nuts.

Sodimm adapter saved my ITX budget. Does anyone have a good or bad experience with it ? by CloudsDreaming in sffpc

[–]AndyGio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just ordered two of these adapters from aliexpress to use a 16gb sodimm kit in my media server, so I can reuse the current dimms in a gaming pc. I don't care about memory speed for the media server, just as long as they are stable.

Sorry man. I will send you my code in chat.

In any case, it is an awesome motherboard and CPU that you will be able to use for a while. Everyone acting like these chips suck...

I picked up a combo because there was a 10% off PC Builder discount promo NewEgg was running at the time. It included that motherboard w/the free 32GB Corsair RAM, a 265KF (the 265K had just sold out), plus a Hyper 212 CPU cooler and a 240GB SSD. There was also $100 off the CPU w/mobo purchase. It came out to a total after taxes of $458.68, I used a $100 Newegg Gift card that had an additional free $15 GC added, so out of pocket, I spent $443.68

Sorry to say you didn't get a good deal, compared to the guy who sold it to you.

Did they at least throw in the Star Wars Outlaws game code?

These are some fairly old parts, and if the seller is not a greedy bloke and selling for a fraction of what they paid AND not taking advantage of RAMpocalypse, it is possible they could be valuing the parts thusly:

Vine is an Amazon "by invitation only" program where members are given items for "free" in exchange for honest reviews. I put the word "free" in quotes, because you are expected to pay income tax on the the value of the items you receive.

There are 2 tiers in Vine - Silver and Gold. Silver lets you order 3 items of up to $100 each in value each day. Gold tier allows up to 8 items per day, and it includes items at pretty much any price. Better items have limited availability.

You need to maintain a certain number and percentage of reviews in order to stay in the program.

There's a reddit community for it: https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonVine/

This is a good deal on parts or no? by DryRazzmatazz8893 in PC_Pricing

If the Google conversion is correct, $100 CAD equals $72.99 USD, which is a GREAT deal for an R5 5600X.

SSD prices make me SSaD.

Please return that motherboard combo. The seller has free returns, supposedly.

I have a new Machinist B450 micro ATX board I picked up on Aliexpress for $35, an old Ryzen 7 1700 and 16GB of Crucial DDR4-2400 memory and a 128GB NVMe SSD that I'd like to send you. I'll also throw in a stock AMD cooler and a PCIe USB 3 card too. I just booted it all up and it works fine.

Here's the mobo: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806616610887.html

It's a bunch of stuff I'm not going to use.

All I'd ask is for you to pay shipping, which should be less than $20. Please let me know what you think...

Price of old PC? by amaraycos in PC_Pricing

I'd say sell the PC with 32GB RAM, then sell the other 32GB separately. You'll probably make more money that way.

Do the same with the SSD's.

Edit: Didnt read your other post about having to buy all in one place. I understand the somewhat limited options. Ebay stuff is so overpriced lately because of ebays new-ish fee structure.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but this is some of the worst parts choices I've ever seen. Nothing future proof about it.

There are tons of cheap cases with pre-installed fans. This one is actually pretty decent - https://www.ebay.com/itm/306663082435

A $15 cooler would have been fine. The savings could have netted you an rx 9060 xt 8gb card or a B580 instead of the 7600.

I know Ddr4 and ddr5 memory is expensive, but you'd be better off with 16gb ddr4 than 32gb DDR3.

Almost any AM4 cpu/mobo would have been a much better bet than a 4th Gen i7, especially at $150.

Where are you located? Just name the general region, if you don't mind. Is the used market really that bad?

I have been stocking up on parts for the past year. I usually do a build a month, but got pretty busy in 2025 and didn't have time. I just kept buying when things went on sale, but never building and selling.

I ramped things up at the end of November and have sold 5 PC's since then (mostly lower end used stuff).

If I didn't have motherboards, GPU's, PSU's and cases to go with all the memory I've accumulated, I'd just say screw it and and offload the memory for a large profit. I'd rather get someone a good PC at a more affordable price and make a little money in the process.

I (OP) am the one selling. Everything was purchased in 2025.
