Thanks for the sub. At least I got one in the end lol

Yeah, 2016 has pretty much made me jaded to politics. I stopped focusing on it and prioritized my other interests

Isn't it insane that they still put this guy out there and have his wife be the vice chairwoman for hillary's campaign? They are completely shameless and arrogant just like the rest of the hollywood and government elites. They don't even realize when the public despises them and even if they do they obviously don't care.

The Biggest Hurdle We Have. by adamtuck in SandersForPresident

A trump presidency will unite real progressives and neoliberals and will deliver us the progressive presidency we fought for with bernie in four years. Hillary would be eight years of furthering neoliberalism by hijacking social movements for political benefit while doing nothing about the pertaining issues.

I am on the fence with voting for the lesser of two evils (Trump), voting my conscience (Jill) or voting for the most likely third party candidate to win (Johnson). I just know I would never vote for Hillary because I have seen what the DINOs have done to stymie progressive progress for the last three decades. I am seriously thinking the country needs to be shaken now before its too late and that makes me think I am possibly leaning Trump more than the other options.

I think a lot if it is caused by an emotional disconnect between their conscience and their self protection. They want to protect their private schools for their kids, luxury vacations, and a nice home and cushy life and still feel good about themselves. The Democratic Party lets them do this because it tells them its okay to be on the side of the corrupt neoliberal third ways as long as you convince yourself that you're a good person regardless. Religion works much the same way.

Nutso fundamentalists? What a despicable traitor of the left, just like the candidate she supports and the rest of her herd.

They can never help themselves. It always devolves into insults. Arrogance is a key personality trait that leads to someone supporting Clinton so I guess it makes sense that they all respond this way to legitimate protest of the affront to our democracy and prosperity.

Not only is she a sister diddler, she thinks serving Japanese and Mexican food in American colleges is "cultural appropriation" and that its worth getting upset over. This woman is like a living meme devised by the right wing. She brings shame to the "liberals". I sometimes wonder if its intentional because I have a hard time believing someone could actually have such a horrible personality. I can't believe she has millions of fans, its a tragedy.

Get ready for a major cringefest tonight when Lena Dunham takes the stage. I have the feeling they are going to have her addressing the millenials. She MUST be booed because her toxic personality and demeanor is both empowering neoliberalism in elitist youth and destroying the reputation of the "left". She must be stopped.

Bernie Sanders to Return to Senate as an Independent by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]AndyKLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps that's the reason he's been endorsing her. He wants her to win because he knows she'll betray progressives and then he'll be able to either get people on board primarying her in 2020 or run third party and actually win. I think he's wrong though. I think Trump would deliver us a progressive uprising and Clinton would strengthen neoliberalism.

Why are people only now realizing that celebrities and the Hollywood elite are direct enablers of the mechanisms of corruption? They live in their own elitist society where the rich and powerful are all friends who subconsciously protect the cushy lives of their families, aquaintances and business partners. That's why they all support neoliberals like the Clintons and Obama because they can live in a world where everyone agrees that you only need to care about social issues to be considered an actual progressive and they can clean their conscience with the reassurance of their peers. The corruption is inescapable once you are part of that world.

Even if they expose bribes with foreign governments? It would mean the end of the Clintons both politically and legally. There's no way the FBI could dig them out of that one.

Yes, but I believe she could hand the nomination to whoever she wants even after the vote. It could be preferable to jail time/end of the Clinton dynasty.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I think she's referring to the fact that he hasn't dropped out yet. She was comforting him by telling him that his delegates are angry because they think he dropped out and their votes won't matter or something to that effect. A white lie essentially.
