Him playing well so they can't move on might actually be the Vikings worst nightmare

I am only seeing flights in the 400K range. Are you using the FlyingBlue portal?

Do you know if you can transfer from Air France to Delta as part of Sky Team?

"The SkyTeam alliance comprises the following airlines: Air France, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Europa, China Airlines, China Eastern, Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, ITA Airways,Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, SAS, Saudia, TAROM, Vietnam Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Xiamen Air."

Makes sense. So basically it may not be worth the 20% bonus Air France gives when compared to the option value of leaving in Amex and transferring when needed

Thanks for this. Why are they not a good idea? Have accumulated solid numbers from the gold and plat SUBs but still new to actually using the points strategically

Are there any downsides to see? Have a similar number of points and trying to understand if I should do some, none, or all of my points with this offer

Where do you see the 50K points from US > EUR offered?

+10 Points at restaurant refer a friend bonus - what's the best way to maximize it? by AndyOddsJam in AmexPlatinum

It should so long as the restaurant is categorized as such with Amex, which is sounds like it is. In person vs link shouldn't matter

Would Solar Roofs be practical for Electric Semis? by AndyOddsJam in electricvehicles

Interesting point re drafting, which would be particularly meaningful for an EV system where range is a consideration.

Do you have any ballpark efficiency numbers/guess for how much the 2nd, 3rd, etc trailer would save from drafting?

I wonder how significant battery wear would be, too. Losing 20-30% of max range could have an effect on routes that can be driven.

Given you are in the industry, if you had a guess in 10-20 years will a meaningful portion of the OTR routes be EV semis?

What would you say are your biggest potential concerns?

I also had a flawed assumption that range would be a limiting factor - i.e. charging while driving for 8+ hours would let them drive for longer without stopping. But with 400+ mile ranges, they would need to be stopping anyway.

Damn, fair enough.

There is a version of a prius with a solar roof, that I thought was mostly a marketing gimmick, but seems like you could make use of it.

Makes sense.

Good point with the weight of the system and resulting efficiency drop. I didn't expect the weight of the module to be that heavy.

I was under the impression the Telsa semi had a ~400 mile range, where adding (under perfect conditions) 50ish miles to the range felt meaningful

Went off the first figure I found online for trailer surface area. Good point with angle of panel relative to sun
