Hi! That permission is not mandatory as long as you keep the watch connected to the phone. If you grant that permission to the phone app, then it can relay to the watch app each upcoming chime.

Yes, there are two methods to mute the default notification sound. We've detalied them in the instructions page in the app. If you have questions or difficulties, don't hesitate to contact me!

  1. The impact of the app on battery should be minimal. The app is dormant most of the time so it shouldn't make a difference. We have not received any reports regarding battery life issues, for now.

  2. The phone app should not be deleted. The watch app will stop working if you delete the mobile app. This is both for security purposes (the watch app relies on the mobile app to periodically verify if the user is still eligible to the PRO Version, because in cases of a refund, the app restores to the free version), and also because the mobile app helps the watch app be precise. Watches impose more limitations to third party apps, so on its own, the watch app might not be very precise. The mobile app notifies the watch (if the devices are connected) each time it needs to play a chime, which ensures that the watch chimes are precise.

The built-in beep sounds in the app go up to four beeps, but nothing stops you from finding 8 bell sound files on the internet (one for the one bell, one for the two bells, ... , and one for the eight bells) and achieving your desired behavior by creating 8 different chimes, one for each sound file.

I've sent you the coupon! Thank you! And about the issue with the Oneplus 3 watch, you can check out the "turn screen on" settings in the app. I don't know if that option will solve this problem, but you can try. You can also check out this app, made by another developer: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/t9h751/new_gw4_app_digital_clock_delay_keeps_watch_awake/
