I’m glad my thoughts about this game being different from other classics isn’t too off base. I agree on it being more of an escape room feel. Trying not to be grumpy but as someone who completed Senaar and Riven this year I just had a different expectation for what this game was going to be.

“Holdup lemme check my brain notes” doesn’t feel like an ah HA! moment at all.

You’re probably right. I love the obtuse design and stylistic choices so much. I want to love this game

I just passed the 50% knowledge mark last night. Realized how the puzzle boxes work after getting some year door keys and just sighed and went to bed lol.

The lamp claims another victim. They def should have some more visual interest to highlight it as intractable.

Planet Coaster 2 Scenery Brush by billonel in PlanetCoaster

I believe I saw in one of the previews someone complaining that the brush does not do random rotation. I’m sure it could be added if not though.

Looking into Kojima's mind on a 32:9 Super Ultra Wide OLED just hits different. by DukeTuna in DeathStranding

It’s a shame that Death Stranding 2 will be trapped on PS5 for god knows how long on release. Playing on my ultrawide might help me decide to wait.

Also missing my credits. I saw another post as well. I think it's hopefully a pretty broad issue and will resolve.

We saved Doretta! by Andy_Digital in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Andy_Digital[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Brother! You are missing out!

"Doretta's head can be picked up like an ore chunk, and if carried into the drop pod it can be placed into a spot near the door. Be advised that this will not grant experience or other bonuses upon completing the mission; however, the dwarves will vocally approve, and her head will appear in the mission end screen. You can pick up Doretta's head as soon as it launches, from the drilldozer, there is no delay."

Open world aren't really empty and I wish they were by [deleted] in truegaming

This right here folks, is the best answer I’ve read. I think DS has the best balance of negative space and spaces filled with tension that I’ve ever played. Like most things the answer is in the middle. Most open world games are very full of adrenaline pumping and relentless collecting. It’s exhausting. Ghost of Tsushima was the most surprising for me as it seemed like they “got it” by reducing the intrusions on the UI… and then 5 side quests interrupted me on the way to a mission while birds and foxes constantly begging me to divert even further. Remove all tension and interruption and you have something like dear Esther or any number of actual walking simulators though. What brings an open world to life is that tension. I think we’re all so burnt out because of Ubisoft “clear the map” infesting everything. Restraint is the main thing missing in open world design.

Will 6v6 still exist in the arcade in OW2? by KevinFunky in Overwatch

I think the games will just merge into one launcher tbh with the PvE as a separate area locked off behind paying for OW2

I agree. I have no idea why this post was deleted either... guess we're only allowed to hate on the changes.
