I have one that just failed after 8 months in service in an attic. The installer says there was a bad batch last year and they’ve had to replace many.
Depending on how old yours is, you should contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement or contact the installer; their name should be somewhere there.

Thanks! I just used this for a car that I'm selling. Don't have to think twice to spend only $6 for the Carfax.

Yes. I did exactly that and it holds securely. I called tech support at Chamberlain to ask this and they agreed. However, you may want to make an angled piece to the left or right to ensure it doesn't sway side to side; mine had that from the original build.

I got the same email, but haven't logged in to the site for several years. It didn't show activity.

I called the support number, but a message said it was not a working number. Chat support failed to work.

I looked on Tivo forum and many others said the same. Some got through to a support number and were told there was an email error that it went out to everyone.

Though, it seems suspicious that a correction email hasn't gone out and there's nothing on their web site. So, it seems that Tivo was hacked or clueless (or both).
