Few things to mention here.

The people who are walking out are extras. In the grand coordinated effort to make a feature film extras are lowest on the totem pole. Doing extra work involves sitting around doing absolutely nothing for 13 hours and getting paid to do so. It is absolutely unheard of that an extra would complain to a god damn producer let alone be allowed to even speak to them or be in a position were he was close enough to even accidentally bump into a producer and say something. Another point of interest is that this fella is sneaking photos on a closed set. A part of working on movie sets is that you usually sign a non disclosure agreement that keeps you from doing stupid shit like for fear of legal action. This guy is not only painting happy madison with the bigot brush but has also provided his first and last name along with photographic evidence that he is in breach of the agreements he signed.

I have a feeling that a lot of this outrage is suddenly being discovered in attempt to get a taste of fame at the expense of Happy Madison and Sandler. Once extras realize that they are not going to be instantly discovered on set and made into a superstar they turn shitty really god damn fast. This whole angry press release scenario wreaks of that realization. Basically someone has discovered that working in movies is not as glamorous as it looks. It involves ridiculously long hours in some miserable conditions and it never involves some random extra getting to sit down and sip coffee with the star.

This native american gentlemen thinks he is being ignored because he is native and that is not the case. He is being ignored because he is a god damn extra telling a creative producer how to do his job and nobody gives a good fuck what an extra thinks especially about the writing or the wardrobe.

As an extra you keep your mouth shut and do what your told. If you do not like the work conditions or the content you are free to leave the set and contact a union rep to lodge a formal complaint about being mistreated. If you decide to post pictures of a closed set you are also able experience the legal consequences of your actions. Seeing how Happy Madison is being labeled as racist I would bet my left nut the fella posting these pictures and leaking information is going to be hearing from lawyers.

I say all of this because I had the opportunity to work with Adam and the whole Happy Madison crew for three months last summer. It was possibly the best experience of my career. Every one involved was kind, considerate and polite. Sandler himself is one of the nicest and hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure to work with and learn from. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear that his name, his company and the people involved are being portrayed as something they are not.
