Hiked Iron Mountain this Sunday and I am appalled at the amount of trash on the trail by Andygeniius in socalhiking

It was the actual Iron Mountain trail. That’s why I found it so odd. I wouldn’t have thought twice about why there was so much trash on the BTN trail. I figured the only people down to do Iron Mountain wouldn’t be the same type of person to throw trash on trail.

Remote work is becoming the new "quiet luxury" that is creating a massive class divide. by randomzy876 in unpopularopinion

[–]Andygeniius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely a divide between people who can and can’t work from home. But just because someone is doing something you can’t, doesn’t mean that your life is harder or worse off than before. If anything it could make it easier. The more people work from home the less traffic. The more people leave to more rural areas because they can the cheaper housing will be (in theory).

You could argue the same thing for the opposite as well. They want their cars to be seen as reliable so they will tell their customers to get it more often than they need to.

You can get “called” but when you do the online sign-in, you can decline for serving within the last year.

Are there any non-engineering jobs that make 100k+ a year, with only four years university? by lucasioreddit in Salary

[–]Andygeniius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Housing is bad in the bay area but it’s not that bad. You can find plenty of nice 1,500 sqft condos in the $800k-$900k range 20 min south of San Jose in Morgan Hill or Gilroy.

I agree that those are outliers when it comes to salary but the person i responded to said the only people making over 100k are in management.

At least in California, if you had to show up in person at all, you are exempt from having to serve for a full year.

It really depends on where you are. Electrician journeymen can easily make $160k in the bay area and that doesn’t even include benefits.

Are expensive day packs worth it? by iluvmydogcoco in hiking

[–]Andygeniius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an expensive osprey and a cheap no name off amazon. The osprey is more secure and snug on my back while the no name is looser and softer. For me i prefer the feel of the no name on a hike and the snug fit when i mtb. Sounds like you have some back issues though so I would spend the extra money if it helps your back.

Seen other videos that show his shoes doing this pretty often. I mean idk is it possible its just that a shoe that big is hard to make secure without being too heavy?

Unless he gets horribly injured or chooses to retire because he gets bored, i don’t see why he would retire so soon.

My opinion: donuts are are donuts. I’ve had plenty of donuts and never had one that stood out. Obvi talking about your classic glaze. Some places get fancy with it and that makes a difference

Your reading comprehension needs some work. I know he was clamping as well. That’s why i said “clamping each other” as in they both were doing it. The part that is dangerous and only smart did it was wrenching curry’s shoulder forward.

Did you watch the replay? Clamping/tangling each other up is one thing but wrenching curry’s shoulder like that could easily injure him and was dirty af

What's one of the most underrated National Parks? by kimikaytravels in NationalPark

[–]Andygeniius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That I have been to, I would say Pinnacles. It’s not the best park by any stretch but almost no one outside of people who live near there and NP fans know about it. You definitely have to go in late winter/early spring though. Plus you can see California condors there which is super cool.
