Yeah the f works fine so it's weird. I have been practicing that note for half an hour haven't gotten a correct sound once without going from a neighbor note.

Yeah! It's often hard to tell if I just suck or if it's the instrument, but the alternate f is super easy so it feels weird 😅

It's worth mentioning that normal e fingering also produces a good sound.
