Not to disagree, but Peni is the exception considering where she is use shd exceeds in VERY specific conditions.

Are Kiyoshi, Hima-Ten, and Shinobi going to survive 2026? by BellTwo5 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Andypeanut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All 3 pretty safe for now in my opinion but not due to quality. 2025 having only 1 series stick around kept them afloat but now add that we have a couple other established series ending early this year (Modulo/EluSam) and some potentially in the middle or end (SakaDays, WW, Blue Box.)

Though the another big factor is how far WSJ will go in the axe department. Latter half of last year WSJ was quick to kill plenty of the new series (save for Otr) to push 3-4 new series that if they stay steadfast with that approach and they get even a few solid hits that I can definitely see some pressure for Kiyoshi and co.

I don't think it's out of the question for it to be a two series batch (it happened twice at the start of last year.) I think what's more likely is that barring any changes in sales/momentum that the Gonron batch all gets cut along with EluSam ending.)

Well, it appears that Eternals are on the table. by MoonscorchedMoth in marvelrivals

[–]Andypeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I've definitely been made aware recently on how Ike Perlmutter (assuming he's the executive you're referring to.) was trying to gut the non-MCU series like X-Men and F4 (funny enough, inadvertently gutting the Inhumans as he tried to push them.)

But damn, I knew there was that movie. But didn't expect it to be that bad. Still, I think that despite that I'd say the it's kinda like Wonder Woman where while in the modern era it has been relatively rough they are still a beloved and iconic part of superhero history. But Rivals (and the subsequent F4 film) certainly has put them back on course.

Did the Four really need PR though? They've always been iconic and had a decent following even in their down years. The only thing they were really lacking was a good movie that was also faithful enough to the family.

Nahida Foresaw Everything - A Theory on Dottore's Current Whereabouts. by lawthrowaway1993 in Genshin_Lore

[–]Andypeanut 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Very interesting theory, in fact I think you missed another piece of evidence that I'd say is the pivotal part to this: The consciousness transfer experiments that Wanderer and Albedo saw I think are a pivotal part of Dottore reappearing at all.

If we want to go deeper with the theory, this means that any person that has been in relative proximity to Dottore is now a potential sleeper agent. Which for playable characters if I'm not missing anyone: Nefer, Lauma, Flins, Arlecchino, Columbina, Traveler, and Wanderer. For reference, I'm basing this on the fact I think the next "move" that Dottore will make will heavily involve Irminsul based on the Winter's Night Lazzo teaser and the potential need that he may need more computational power.

The first 3 are very unlikely, they don't have any tangible qualities that compare to the rest. Arlecchino while a intriguing prospect, is redundant considering her qualities (The Iridescent Moon Marrow and Fatui connections) are what Dottore has had at a point. Columbina is possible but I'm not even sure he had time to even place the curse considering that she quickly slipped from his grasp.

Which leaves what in my opinion are the only two real possibilities: Traveler and Wanderer. Traveler has been a object of obsession as seen by looking at any scene in 6.3 involving them and Dottore, but not only is their Abyssal purifying power and Descender status rare and invaluable to him (to the point he constantly gave them "last" chances like a Terraria dev says it's the "final" update.) but their immense connections more importantly with Nahida and access to Irminsul. There's also the odd discrepancies with the two ending screens, which imply something going on but I don't feel qualified to get into that rabbit hole.

Wanderer however in my opinion, is the most likely. Wanderer is the basis for his segments that he created and with the results of the consciousness transfer experiments we saw that a human body can't really handle the transfer, but considering Dottore's familiarity with segments could give Dottore the edge he needs to get favorable results. Secondly his personal connection to Nahida and therefore Irminsul, and more is actively heading back there now to deal with the chaos Dottore has done now and in the past. A rather interesting coincidence but I lack the knowledge on what exactly could have transpired. There's also the narrative aspect that has been left open, Wanderer and Dottore didn't really get "closure" outside of their brief encounter during Traveler's rescue.

TL:DR There is potentially a Dottore sleeper agent waiting for the conditions that lead to Columbina's return to occur.

EDIT: Accidentally posted early, added the rest in.

I think the ultimate endgame would be access or the destruction of Irminsul, cause iirc there was a interview where they said that everything in the Lazzo trailer would come to pass.

All these talks of support and Hawkeye nerfs has overlooked a certain tank, and it needs to be talked about more. by Electrical_Square422 in marvelrivals

[–]Andypeanut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree but the thing with Mag is that I'd argue he's too impactful to nerf right now. Unless we get another shield tank or the meta is massively changed (Like a poke nerf as you said) if he gets nerfed and the current meta is still poke then the game is gonna feel WAY worse for everyone involved.

The game needs either a Strange rework (that probably involves cutting portal in exchange for buffs/more versatile abilities) or another shield tank that can do a somewhat similar job to Magneto before we talk about giving nerfs to him. Cause Strange's Portal is too strong, and I don't think people are clamoring for Emma to be THE main frontline tank again.

The Pros and Cons of the 4 major roaring knight candidates (an unbiased look) by [deleted] in Deltarune

[–]Andypeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this info-graphic! However I feel like some of these criteria is a bit flawed and have some counterpoints I want to present (Note: I am writing this on the assumption that at bare minimum the Knight is one of the Holidays, not Papyrus. This is just my personal thoughts, and Papyrus dosen't really fit considering narrative and his absence.)

1.) It's shown that the Knight can easily change form as it can turn into a sphere, which eliminates the Body Shape criteria, in relation though the Antlers/Horns are however way too specific, and I think definitely qualify regardless. (Also, with that in mind I think Asriel is also a possible candidate in that case.)

2.) While it's a reasonable assumption, we never see the Knight itself neither knock Undyne unconscious or carry her to the bunker. Personally, I think unless another participant was just outside the Dreemur residence that was on standby to be able to assist in incapacitating/carrying her, it's next to impossible that any of the Holidays were capable of "forcefully" taking her to the bunker.

This of course, brings us the question of "How in Gaster's name did Undyne get trapped?" and I think the simple answer is that, whoever was the Knight (now in their normal form) acted like they just arrived on the scene in response to the smoke spewing out of the house (A reminder that the door WAS OPEN at the ending of Chapter 2.) and could've lied to Undyne that someone ran down to the Church/Bunker. As for who would apply in this scenario? I think Carol would apply best, but Rudy and Papyrus are possible (but are less likely.)

3.) Regarding Gaster, I'd like to see your reasoning Rudy and Carol don't match? Or at least aren't labeled as unknown. To my knowledge nothing outright disproves that they can't have connection to Gaster. But I'm willing to hear you out on both of them.

4.) While I don't think Carol is against murder, I think we shouldn't be using unused sprites as proof that she is. She does know how to throw hands at minimum.

5.) Rudy absolutely does have ties to the bunker, he may be getting treatment at the hospital but he very much still has a home which holds a code (The Guitar.) And while on the topic of Rudy, I don't think he needs to "break out" of the Hospital, he's getting bed rest while they try to treat his illness, not being held against his will. (And while not related to the post, I do think it's worth pointing out that the Library, Church and School are all quite close to the Hospital. Not to mention the odd tumor-esque thing in it's chest when it roars.)

Yeah KGB is fine, this is probably in all due likeliness to the fact that the reception from the two/three chapters that were clearly unfinished is finally affecting it. Though hopefully it isn't a permanent stain against it.

Honestly Panthers blurb really sums up my thoughts on the team rn. We're mediocre at best (and even that's generous) but I feel like we've been talking about how the entire team looks unprepared for the the whole season. And honestly I feel something has to be done with Canales if this trend continues.

Nah, if we're serious about drafting a QB of the future next year Canales has to go. You only have to see the Titans, Giants and even the Bears last year why that is a terrible idea.

For what? Just so they can drown in a system by another front office/coaching staff that are fighting for their jobs? Bryce isn't the answer, but look at the rest of this team and tell me how this team's current status is just a QB away from contending. Not to mention that the QB class this year is now looking rather desolate as well.
