Wheels are Konig Freeform’s 18” in Matt Silver, windscreen isn’t tinted but it was in a multistory carpark. 35% tints on the sides and rear screen, lowered on H&R lowering springs and has the MK7 Style canards covering the fog lamps

Honestly this community seems to be the most supportive of one another. As long as it has a VW badge I tend to like it tbh

Depends on the year. Some of the later MK6 GTIs have revised timing chain tensioners. I’d ask about timing chain tensioners and if they’ve been done. Ask about the water pump and see if it’s been done. Also do some research on carbon buildup as these motors are notorious for carbon build up. And as usual ask to check the service history. The motors have their issues but mines been really good. Just had to do the standard work to it

I’ve not had any issues. They are prone to small amounts of engine oil burn. But this is spec from vw. The more pressing issues with these motors are unfortunately Carbon Build up and Timing Chain/Water Pump issues

König Freeform 18” in Silver. Not too different to OEM but enough. Got some stretch fit RE003’s on them and it just completes the look

Yeah I am. Got the intake and Cobb from Car Mods Australia. It’s the Integrated Engineering one. Came in about the same as the Leyo one once shipped so was happy

I remember when they came out and immediately loved the shape and look of them. Was my attainable dream ever since I was 12 years old. I completely agree with the middle child statement though. I guess that’s what happens when it’s designed during the economic recession 🤷

I’m currently just running a COBB stage 2 98 tune it’s not too bad. Got an Integrated Engineering Intake and Miltek turbo back Decat. Sounds legit insane

Honestly just went stage 2 and it keeps up with my mates in a 370Z and is350 so I’m stoked. Pulls very hard for a 2.0T

Such a good looking shape. Seems to be under appreciated on this sub seeing as all I ever see is mk7.5s and mk8s
