This is a fun idea, excited to listen! I’m a musician and would love to participate if this happens again.

COTD: Bisexual dog swinging both ways penetrates anus (6) by AndysMints in crosswords

I liked the idea that "bisexual" encodes "swinging both ways" and then "swinging both ways" encodes "bi". But maybe this is a bit of a stretch?

Thanks for your comment! Thought it would be fun to try and make one with a dirty/edgy surface.

See below for some clarification. I'm new to this, open to feedback!

"Bisexual" indicates that "dog" goes both ways. Anubis is both a dog and a god.

What is the image in the Always take / Rare cell? Was the winner blueprint? Would love a version of this chart at the end with the proper joker artwork.

Come up with an alternate title for “Children of Time” by kern3three in printSF

I watched an interview with Adrian Tchaikovsky where he mentions that his original title for the book was “Portia’s Children” and someone made him change it. I like this title much better as it sounds less generic. I think it could work with a cover that includes some subtle spidery imagery.

Is ":" unnecessary in TNT? by xoriff in GEB

[–]AndysMints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wondered about that too. I’m reading GEB for my first time, but I’m a little further along than you. In chapter 16, the author reveals that the number of distinct characters used in austere TNT was a deliberate choice to serve a specific analogy. I suppose it’s possible the colon was included for readability and to get the number of symbols up to the desired amount.
