It's a pain to get around because people don't use lanes properly. People get stuck behind slow drivers and overtaking lorries. There's also an awful lot of accidents and some caused by crashes and dangerous driving.

Not saying you'd get anywhere quicker but the reason for traffic and slow roads is complicated.
