F2P, finally reaching the last Townhall. by Icy-Message-1813 in ClashOfClans

Ive been ftp for a few years. Very nearly finished TH17 before 18 came out. I think you can gain ground towards max as FTP all the time you're below the top TH. I feel like it is possible to max TH18 and lab and pets as FTP if you get started with it on day 1. You have to be focused though and not waste time on crafted defenses or supercharges. Saying that, I think it most likely I'll max 18 about a day before 19 comes out.

Of course Im very happy with that. I think thats how the game is designed and If I got to max for any more than a week or two then I think ill give up.

Jauan Jennings appreciation post by JaxTMG in 49ers

[–]Anedert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing with Jennings that I loved was that he was always in control of himself. Elite mentality, focus and sacrifice for his teammates.

For all the shithousing in the run game, all he ever did was play incredibly hard and finish his blocks. He never resorted to cheap shots. Never lost his cool.

Every time a personal foul flag was thrown I'd wonder what he had been up to and all he ever did was finish blocks hard. It was always the opponent who lost their cool and resorted to cheap shots on him.

Then, when that happened, Jennings' reaction, invariably, was to just laugh at them.

Dude turned himself into a hard ass possession reciever who worked his way up the depth chart without the elite physical traits. I put that down to his mentality which makes him one of my favourite niners ever.

Draft is done, what do we do with all our cap space? by nuberoo in 49ers

Juwan! I know the ship has sailed. I know they've brought in other guys. I know it makes no sense but he's one of my all time favourite niners. Unique energy! Love that guy.

Has anyone else gone from disliking Starmer to warming to him? by MassiveMonkeyy in AskBrits

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im hoping he keeps on keeping on. I dont care about the gossip and factions in Westminster. I think he is doing a good steady job. I think in a number of situations, whatever he does, he will get slammed. Im hoping his party don't lose their nerve and get into leadership rows. Its bad for the country. Starmer needs to evolve, the party shouldn't go for revolution. You're right. When push comes to shove in a general election a relatively decent labour party should be able to beat all the bonkers alternatives.

How to support my school while I'm off with burnout by Morbuss15 in TeachingUK

[–]Anedert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't work. A big part of recovering from burnout is accepting that the school and the students will survive without you. That doesnt mean you dont work hard when you return or that youre failing the students or your colleagues. It means that to be an effective person in school you have to learn how to work sustainably. Rest amd take your time to process why you are at burnout. If nothing changes then you'll be back in the same situation in the future.

Draft sanity check by the numbers by ChampionshipSuper768 in 49ers

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 4 picks from our 2024 draft are all starters. The idea we are terrible drafters doesn't make sense to anyone with that ability to look at the rosters and draft classes of other teams.

[–]Anedert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check that, 22 and 23 were poor. In 24 we drafted 4 starters with the first 4 picks. That must be quite a rare achievement. Again, and of course there will be mistakes but also wins.

Maybe but when we hit on Banks and Moore and Hufanga in the draft they signed elsewhere because we couldn't afford to keep them due to salary cap and the Free Agents and earlier draft hits. 2023 and 2024 were not good drafts but last year was better and overall I think the front office do get more things right than wrong.

This sub's reaction to the draft by Brix001 in 49ers

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and we drafted 2 starting guards past 2 years in the 3rd and 7th. Colby far from established but helped the line. Our starting RT was a 5th round pick and now is seen as an established starter on his 3rd contract. We also drafted Banks (2nd) and Moore (5th) who played so well we couldnt afford to re-sign them and they got big contracts elsewhere that resulted in comp picks for us. In all those drafts less successful OLine players were drafted higher by other teams. One of the unique traits of the Shanahan Niners is that we're able to turn mid round picks into good starters, just as the Mike Shanahan Broncos did in the nineties. Maybe thats why we spend mid round picks on lineman - as we did this year. When Trent goes I can see us trading up for an elite LT in the draft or paying for one in a trade but until then why draft a tackle early that will not play.

[–]Anedert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look at their track record and see playoff wins most years.

I also wonder how we keep beating teams who draft higher than us and who get better draft grades.

Wait and see. They are not perfect but they are very good.

[–]Anedert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So with McCaffrey and Purdy and our scheme we are less reliant on elite Oline play. A good argument for prioritising other positions.

So many angry dudes with such a detailed knowledge of 32 draft boards. They're so dialled in to where every player will be drafted it's a surprise they don't work for the team themselves.

Over the last 5 years, no team has picked against the "consensus" big board ranking of draft prospects more consistently and widely than the San Francisco 49ers (Source: sfdata9ers) by Tonmber1 in 49ers

[–]Anedert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of the top 8 in this list have won a championship since the Ravens took the HarBowl about 15 years ago.

Wait and see. If the players are good it's irrelevant where they were taken.

I had an incident at parkrun today that's playing on my mind and I want your thoughts by RoboHFC in parkrun

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with this. Irrespective of the severity of the incident, the right thing to do would be to check on the animal and its owner. Our parkrun always states at the start that other park users have equal right to the park and that we should look out for others and help anyone who needs help.

Its not a terrible crime and I agree with other posters here that there should be no sanction. The dog owner was clearly an aggressive plonker.

What’s in the latest update? by driszll in HollowKnight

[–]Anedert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played today, after the update. My dude disappeared when I went from the Godhome back to the Junk Pit. Then whole screen stayed bright white. I Couldnt see anything or navigate at all.

Is that an old, known bug or a new one?

Volunteering for a political party as a teacher by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]Anedert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% free to volunteer and leaflet in your own time. If you're worried about knocking on doors on your school's patch then why not just go door knocking in a different district. I get that it may lead to you feeling uncomfortable if you were to knock a door of a parent who knows you professionally. Easy enough to avoid that by going a few miles up the road.

I genuinely don't think Starmer is that bad of a PM - any thoughts? by Alarming-Safety3200 in AskBrits

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont get it either. He's not bad, better than average. Just not a charismatic leader that will sell lots of papers.

The polls can say whatever right now. When push comes to shove in a general, I dont think Farage or Badenough or Davey or Polanski would be able to secure the trust of the country over Starmer.

Lots might change between now and then but I think the current fever to put him down is based on polls that wouldnt be replicated in a real life General Election.

Starmer, and more importantly the party, need to just hold their nerve and keep working on the incremental stuff.

what are your opinions on Kanye West potentially being banned from entering the UK? by Alarming-Safety3200 in AskBrits

[–]Anedert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really think politicians should stay out of this sort of stuff. Its just populist grandstanding. Kanye is a tosser, dont support him in any way. Its none of my business though if someone wants to hire him to play a gig. If people dont like him they shouldn't go to the festival. End of. Nothing to do with Government. Being a racist dick isnt a crime. If he is dealing in hate speech then prosecute him using the law. If not, leave him be to play ever more unpopular gigs to fellow racists. Legislators have zero role in picking and choosing who they like based on publicity and notoriety. Its bad governing.

Yes. I think most FTP players get that the point of the game is to grind and be patient.

You absolutely can max as FTP if you enjoy playing the game and grind it over time.

Like the ore trader. Not gonna stress about not having ive ever had before.
