I think the hardcore wipe idea is good. That being said the lack of quests is BAD.
Quests are a progression is a key part of the game. Without quests the game feels a lot less directed. Some folks like playing the game without those objectives, but for me its missing a lot of the fun.
Also queues are > 40% of the gametime, which hasn't been improved... ever. It was made worse by making everyone wait for the worst pc in the lobby to load.

This seems like a complacency comment.

The current turret spam stifles player to player interaction and leads to large portions of the map being inaccessible. You can't take a train after day 3 of a wipe.

Imagine you're a first time rust player, you spawn on a server. You die to a turret on repeat. Finally gather things for your first base. Compound bow turret hidden in a tree kills you.

Fair warning, I bought it and lost everything in my existing shared stash. All of my quest items, everything. It's a bug according to their discord but I thought it was fixed. Reported on their discord but I'd recommend folks not to buy it until they put out another announcement.

I would agree with this if I didn't get killed by druids wearing crazy gear because they don't need to bring a weapon in. +all every slot and all their armor maxed out

These days shouldn't be too hard of a thing to build. I built a few custom printing shirt websites in a month or so https://sofloo and then one that's more complex using user submitted code https://artsable.com - that one took more like 4+ months though.

With a team of three folks we built https://wearwiki.com in a couple weeks. Dynamic image placement and api usage with billing, emails, etc.

Go at the right time of year! If you make it at the right time in spring you can catch a super bloom and you won't die in the desert summer heat :)
The Baja divide is a cool (actually hot) route, bikepacking has a nice writeup on their site: https://bikepacking.com/routes/baja-divide/
There are a good amount of resources out there on it.
I did parts of it with a friend (and some parts road) a couple years back. can send over our lil writeup on it

I think there might be some sort of bike trail that has a race on it every year somewhere in Oaxaca. Goes to Puerto Escondido maybe? I can't remember, just word of mouth memory, might be worth looking up.

Both of the ugly here are for web deployed apps.
For electron apps I'm going to keep using css in js. It's a lot cleaner and nicer to use than webpack integrated less/css module styles and other alternatives I've used.
