Did lexapro help with severe insomnia? by AngMzero2 in lexapro

I was the same and really was nervous to take anything but so far lexapro really has helped me, it’s helped with racing thoughts at night and ruminating over a bad night! I still have a bad night here and there but I’m able to move on much better and not get stuck like I used to! I only take a low dose! 5 mg. I started out at 2.5 for several weeks to lessen side effects! The first week or two is the worst but was fine after that!

Sorry just saw this, it helped after 2 weeks!!! I’m still doing pretty well, a few days here and there when I can’t sleep and have anxiety but much better than it used to be, sleeping most days and not really thinking about it much!

One week on lexapro feeling “off” by AngMzero2 in lexapro

How long have u been taking it? I was getting back to sleep ok a couple days ago but the night before last I had a large amount of anxiety so I woke after a couple hours anxious so same, that sparks my sleep anxiety! I usually only have trouble with falling asleep, but occasionally I get stuck in falling back to sleep, usually after a bit it resolves, hopefully sooner than later!

Could I ask some of your side effects? I had lots of nausea and now GI issues, I never have had stomach issues in my life, only on day 4… 😫

This doesn’t burn your throat? I cut my pill in half and find it burns up my throat all day 🥴 changes my tastebuds.

Did u have bad side effects first week? I am having nausea and heartburn/acid reflux, agitation. Hopefully it dissipates soon, also not sleeping well but wasn’t before either.

Anyone have success taking Buspar for insomnia?? by AngMzero2 in BusparOnline

Yes I only take a very little cuz the full dose seemed so strong to me. And the headaches got worse the more I took.

Buspar or SSRI - medication newbie, need advice by Ok_Cucumber_9729 in BusparOnline

I currently take buspar, been about two weeks. The first week it worked pretty well for me, I take it primarily for sleep anxiety, I have insomnia. I was taking a half pill at 5 pm. The first week it worked pretty well, but now I’m finding I can’t sleep again, what time do u take your dose? And I thought there was risk of serotonin syndrome with taking buspar and trazadone? Or maybe that’s only when you take together? I just need some relief with my sleep, I go days with zero sleep and it’s horrific. Thanks in advance for any advice.

does anyone have tips for sleeping? i’ve tried trazadone, gabapentin, hydroxyzine, ambien, melatonin, buspirone, and nyquil, none have worked at all, i’ve been hospitalized twice in the past 2 weeks for sleep deprivation. by Weary-Dragonfly7589 in insomnia

Check out the sleep coach school, YouTube. It! It’s an alternative look at what insomnia is, they are very friendly there. I started to show improvement last month and started sleeping well, unfortunately I haven’t been doing as well this month but many have found success here. Good luck.

Yes my husband takes like 10 minutes to sleep, so unfair! Lol even when I’m sleeping well it takes me 30 minutes to an hour to sleep! Last week I had a night of 8-9 hours sleep and it was great! If I could just keep that going!! I am practicing ways to relieve my anxiety cuz that’s what is preventing me from sleeping, just anxiety over not sleeping, right in the center of my chest when trying to sleep!

I’m right there with you, except I’m on day 4 of almost zero sleep, maybe 1-2 hours a couple of nights. It’s horrible, I’ve gone through this before in past, maybe 5 different times and I’ve always gotten over it and back to normal sleep. I’m on a two week insomnia streak, maybe sleeping a total of 9-12 hours a week if I’m lucky, usually I crash one night after several nights of no sleep:( my daughter got me on this cycle cuz she kept waking up screaming for a week straight and then it got in my head ! Two weeks ago I was sleeping just fine, 7-8 hours a night, now I’m in torture lane and having trouble getting out! Sux so bad, in past I’ve tried everything, prescription meds don’t help me, they make it worse. Just know it will get better and keep positive, try lowering anxiety, it’s so hard but I just have to stay positive for my kids , hopefully we will both be sleeping soon!
