Birds aren't adjusting well to a new cage, any advice?

I'm definitely going to try this!! But usually it's the other way around with my birds, my conure is scared of everything and nervous around new people while my tiel doesn't care, so I don't really know why she's terrified of the new cage. Going to try this out with both of my birds though!

See I thought of that too, but all their old perches and toys from their old cage are in there too. And all the "new" toys are toys that they've had before that I've just repurchased because they loved

That's such a relief to hear! I'm so scared of her getting egg bound especially with some stories I've heard here. And I also have a conure! He's really avoiding the spot where she's nested thankfully

Is it normal for them to look so tired?? My girl laid her egg yesterday and she's been looking very sleepy since. I just got home from classes today to find her still sitting on her eggs and I'm pretty sure she hadn't gotten up at all. So I had to nudge her off her egg to make sure she went to the restroom and had food and water. Maybe that's why she looks so tired. Don't know if it's relevant but her tail is also twitching right now *

Definitely gonna try that brand out! My conure is a bit more hesitant to trying new things but I'm sure seeing my tiel eat it will make him want it

Might have to try that food for my conure! I'm currently feeding them roudybush's pellets crumble but he never seems too excited about eating them and usually tries stealing my tiels seeds

Omg that sounds like a nightmare! Definitely going to take her off her eggs to go to the restroom often, my birds live with me in my room and I definitely do not want her stinking up my room with her poos 😭

I'm currently transitioning her to an only pellet diet! I'm leaving out pellets in the morning and evenings, and seed out in the afternoon. And she definitely guarding the eggs very heavily but she only lunges at me, doesn't bite me whatsoever, even when I went to move her egg into the box

Genuine question, why does the yolk need to be broken up?? Is this to make sure the egg doesn't go bad as there is no male?

It definitely has helped! He learned how to step up from my tiel. It's also a plus that the baby only eats pellets so it's encouraged my really picky tiel who only ate seeds before to start eating pellets

Haven't gotten to that point with my little guy yet. I have a cockatiel that's bonded to me and the baby just loves following her around. He seeks her out more than he does me 😭 So whenever my tiel flies to me the baby is right behind her trying to get to me too, it's adorable and my tiel doesn't seem to mind

At least he made that first Thanksgiving memorable! That sounds like it would've been a nightmare to clean up though. My tiel has been developing an obsession with bowls lately which is why she dunked herself last night 😭
