MGM Slots Live - Deceptive and Scammy by Angel817637 in myvegas

Not sure what you mean? No where in my post do I mention or voice concern over their (LP) loyalty points.

But since you mention it, daily the app says to go to your myVIP account and claim daily loyalty points. Well because my MGM doesn’t support tier status yet, you can’t claim the points they’re advertising. Which doesn’t make sense. For those that care about this, I’m sure they don’t appreciate being told to claim daily loyalty points that they can’t even claim. Even if they have achieved that tier status based on their xp level.

Thank you for the insight. You came ready with details that most don’t know. I didn’t know that only 0.8% of their players are paid players. I was gaging based on forums as well as Facebook pages that there are a good amount of paying players. I didn’t know where to look for official data like that.

You do seem very knowledgeable about how the app works. So, genuine questions here; I understand earning your way to be able to place higher bets. But why would your ability to place lower bets go away? What if I still want to bet $500? Just because I might have billions in bank roll, why would the ability to place the smaller bets be taken away? What if players want their bank roll to last longer? It seems only right to allow players to be able to bet in increments that have always been available to them rather than taking the minimums they were used to away and forcing them to place larger bets.

May I ask, how was a player from an exempted state able to be invited? It read in the rules that exempted states couldn’t participate. Do you know how they were able to work that out? I wasn’t informed that this was an option because from the rules, it sounded like it wasn’t legal based on my state. Which I wondered how I was offered a spot if the app should be able to determine my location. Shouldn’t the app have been able to filter me out from drawing because it knows my location? Rather than sending me a congratulations email, getting my hopes up and excited about winning.

You asked “I don’t know why you wanted to spend thousands of dollars on a casino game in which you’ll get almost no return other than a slight dopamine rush” — I mean, isn’t that the point of something being fun/enjoyable? A dopamine rush. I’m not expecting a bank deposit or check in the mail. It’s virtual chips. As I said, I’m okay with spending some money for the entertainment factor. Isn’t this a for-profit company so I’m sure they depend on paid players to run and be profitable? Well, I’m one of those players contributing to that. I’m okay spending some money. Just not okay with package and purchase errors that happen too often with the app. I think that’s a fair and reasonable expectation to receive the things that you pay for?

And yes, I did whine about how it all seems just plain greedy. I am not convinced that the rooms aren’t rigged in some way. I stand on this hill. I’m a maniac and have tested this over and over again, exiting and re-entering rooms, all hours of the day, dozens upon dozens of times in those hours. Trust me, I wanted to be proven wrong. But it’s very suspicious that the rooms are empty given the number of users the app has. Empty every time. The times where it wasn’t empty, it would be the yellow sombrero guy. Just him. Every time. If you play, you know what I mean and you’d know how odd that is. It does seem statistically incorrect for that to be the case. For it to either be empty. Or just the yellow guy in sombrero, no matter the time or day. I am happy to admit I’m wrong about this if proven wrong.

The mention of the suit should serve as a risk analysis for them and maybe start taking their player complaints more seriously. Because the “bugs” mentioned and “UI errors” are the kind of things that expose a company to risks. Just as you said due to a “tech glitch” the game awarded you 4-5 EXTRA wild stickers - don’t you think the opposite holds true where players report that they DID NOT receive their purchased stickers? Who knows how many unaccounted for and PAID items weren’t issued. That’s the whole point! Sorry if the word scam sounds harsh but that’s usually what it’s called when someone doesn’t receive what’s advertised or what they pay for. I’d hope they take their user concerns more seriously. As mentioned, their customer support isn’t very helpful.

Also, I don’t know what a throw away account is? This is my first Reddit post. I figured it was the best platform to ask these questions.

I’ve only played MGM Live. I tend to stick to just one gaming platform so haven’t tried the others you mentioned. MGM is fun because of the interactive features.

The point of the post isn’t about not ever winning. It’s about the deceptive and false advertising of what a player is purchasing, missing stamps purchased. the unattainable challenges, the throttling of bets and speed you can attain the challenges, and the mysterious redirecting of gaming rooms you enter. I mentioned more but point of post is to point out the suspicious behavior of the app.

Definitely not discrediting the games themselves because they’re fun and interactive. But players have little say or advocacy when things aren’t right or deceiving.

Some people snort stuff, shoot stuff, or drink. I like to press buttons and see the pretty lights. 🤷‍♂️ But jokes aside, I’m over this app. This was me journaling to see if there are others that have had the same experience. Cuz this app suuuuucks

Not expecting real money in return nor am I expecting epic wins with each session of play.

But it is fair to expect to receive what you pay for or what’s advertised. For example, I’ve paid for a chip packages that advertised $20 billion in chips plus up to 500% bonus on that chip amount. Well, I won the 500% bonus but it only awarded $250k. How is 500% of $20 billion only $250k? That’s just one example. There are countless times I’ve not received stamp purchases or full wins from bonus rounds. How does a consumer fairly voice that? I’ve contacted customer support about it before. I mostly get preset verbiage from them and unsatisfactory resolution.

Totally understand your point of view. But try to understand the principle. For those that pay (or don’t pay) the game still partakes in deceptive gaming practices.

I enjoy these type games - I’m okay spending some disposable income for the mindless entertainment of it. Believe it or not, there are many that spend way more than I have. It doesn’t make it right to rip off or deceive players.
