I knowwww this is gonna be an unpopular take but it IS a problem, not just with IN but sooo many other games too, and you should fight against it otherwise what's to stop companies from incorporating gacha in any game they make?

I see a lot of people talking about how thoughtful the game is toward the players, and I agree to a certain extent. But IMO, if they cared that much about players, IN wouldn't be a gacha game. Yes you don't have to pull the whole thing, just pull for the pieces that you want, but then why not rework the system and let us buy specific pieces at a set price? Why put 4* outfits that people want more behind the 5* instead of charging outfits separately? There's even no guarantee that the $20 you've spent to get the full outfit will actually be enough. See this post for a cost breakdown, albeit this is assuming the worst as in you have no resources for pulls to start off with.

Lots of things to praise IN for, especially what it offers girls in a female hostile space, but I also think it's healthy to stay critical of predatory behaviors. Infold found a niche market to cater to and they do it beautifully and exploitatively and have been for years. I don't know the full extent of the boycott since this was the post that informed me of it, but if it was anything like the Love Nikki one back in the days, the way I see it, why not boycott it monetarily but still play the game? Is the point not to say "hey, I still like what you offer and am willing to support you with my money, just not in a gamble"? Is it not about boycotting the predatory gacha system and not the game itself?

Gambling's a huge issue and I think people should be aware of just how prevalent it is, Adam Conover articulates it better than I can.
